Description Victorian Telescope Cane. Overall length approx., 37. 3/4 in. The attractive dark-brown (ebony?) wooden cane body with a dark patinated steel conical tip at the bottom. A brass foliac embossed band with a ring, about 3/4 of the length of the cane is where it unscrews to reveal the internal brass and ebony telescope, alas unnamed. The telescope has one section that pulls out to extend it, but one of the internal glass lenses is damaged (probably easily replaced). The top of the cane is capped off with a brass foliac embossed cap with the letter “R M?” engraved to the top. Other than the damaged lense, the whole in good overall condition commensurate with age.
