Description Unusual decorative/ tourist Western US/ Canadian Frontiersman Axe. Approx 38.5 inches long. Dark wood shaft (hickory?) with brass finial to the bottom with embossed floral and circular decoration. A further brass finial to the top of the shaft with embossed floral and circular decoration. Above this is set the copper axe-head fastened into the wooden shaft. Both sides of the axe-head embossed with Western US/ Canadian Frontiersman scenes. A few minor dings to the unsharpened axe-head and a few minor marks to the wooden shaft. Otherwise in good overall condition for an unusual decorative axe.
