Ensure they are in good condition and have no mechanical damage.Ensure a safe place to conduct the test. Avoid explosive gases and flammable materials!You do not need to check the battery status – the resistor BLT600S will do it for you.Your safety is the most important! Familiarize yourself with the warning signs on the body of the resistor and follow them. Connecting the load tester to the batteryConnect the connector to any terminal of the battery (post, screw, etc.) and apply the tip of the resistor to the other pole. The test can be conducted without maintaining polarity. The clamp can be connected to either the positive or negative post of the battery.Ensure that the connections are strong and stable.The device will automatically activate if the voltage of the tested battery is higher than 1V, and then it will conduct the efficiency test.If the resting voltage of the battery is lower than 1V, you can manually turn on the tester by pressing the left button on the voltmeter panel.Before proceeding to the load test, ensure that the tested battery is fully charged. Selecting parameters and load range of the resistor.On the tester, select the appropriate current load range depending on the battery capacity:12V: usually ranges 200A, 400A, 600A.6V: usually ranges 100A, 200A, 300A.The range selection is made using the knobs on the resistor. The device has 3 circuits – each for 200A for a 12V battery. When testing a 6V battery, the resistance of 1 spring is 100A. The first circuit of the resistor is permanently closed. By tightening the knob, you close the circuit activating the next winding. This increases the resistance by an additional 200A/100A. Performing the basic load test.Press the device against the terminal.Observe the voltage measurement on the display. The tester will subject the battery to the declared load.Pay attention to the results:In the case of a functional 12V battery – the voltage displayed on the screen should drop and stabilize above 8.5VIf the battery is faulty, the voltage will drop towards 0V The load test should not last longer than 10s. Performing the semi-automatic load test.Press the left button on the voltmeter. A timer bar will appear below the battery voltage on the display, counting down 6 seconds, which will start filling up after pressing the tester.Press the device against the terminal.Observe the voltage measurement on the display. The tester will subject the battery to the declared load and will inform with a double beep when the test is finished.Stop pressing the resistor – you can disconnect from the terminal of the tested battery.After pressing the right button, the battery tester display will show a graphical voltage curve, maximum and minimum measured voltage, and the measured voltage difference.The load test lasts 6s – after this time, the tester will inform about the end of the data collection phase. After exceeding 9s, an audible alarm is activated. Touching them may cause burns. Take care of your safety!Release the connection by pulling the tip of the resistor away from the terminal, and then disconnect the clamp from the battery.Place the device in a safe location. Avoid contact of the heated surface of the resistor with flammable gases and materials!The device will automatically turn off after 4 minutes of inactivity (pressing any buttons or taking measurements). It is possible to manually turn off the tester by pressing and holding the right button for more than 1 second.
