Alla periferia meridionale di Bologna, nella vasta ed antica tenuta Ansaloni ha sede il Museo Memoriale della Libertà, organizzato in più settori espositivi. Oltre ad una serie di diorami a grandezza naturale, dove con effetti luminosi e sonori si fanno rivivere alcuni fra i momenti cruciali della guerra nel bolognese, vi è una notevole collezione di veicoli ed apparecchiature militari, che si estende anche ad alcuni aerei, e comprende persino tram ed un treno.
Il tutto è dovuto alla passione ed alle risorse economiche di tre generazioni della famiglia Ansaloni, che in decenni di attività ha raccolto quanto è esposto, ed in parte illustrato da queste immagini.
Il luogo è ben noto agli appassionati di modellismo e militaria, perché spesso è sede di mostre e fiere.

At the southern outskirts of Bologna, the vast and ancient estate of the brothers houses the Memorial Museum of Liberty, organized in multiple sectors. In addition to a series of life-size dioramas, where, with lighting and sound effects, it make you relive some of the crucial moments of the war in Bologna, there is a large collection of military vehicles and equipment, which also extends to some aircraft, and includes trams and even a train.
It is all down to the passion and the economic resources of  three generations of the Ansaloni family, who have collected what is exposed, and partly illustrated by these images, over decades.
The place is well known to fans of militaria and modeling, because it is often used for exhibitions and fairs.

autovettura FIAT 508 in livrea continentale. Fu utilizzata dalle forze armate italiane nel corso della seconda guerra mondiale.

Trattrice d'artiglieria Pavesi. Questo inconsueto veicolo con pianale diviso in due parti sterzanti ed unite da un cardano e da una cremagliera, era complesso ma efficace, tanto che ne furono derivate versioni civili per uso agricolo. Fu adottato a metà degli anni '30 dello scorso secolo.
Pavesi artillery tractor. This unusual vehicle with a floor divided into two steering parts connected by a universal joint and and a rack, it was complex but effective, so that civilian versions were derived for use in agriculture. It was adopted in the mid 30s of last century.

autovettura FIAT 500 "Topolino", con targa del Regio Esercito. Questa piccola vettura ebbe un grande successo sin dalla sua apparizione sul mercato civile negli anni precedenti la seconda guerra mondiale. Continuò ad essere impiegata per usi civili sino agli anni '60 del secolo scorso.
Fiat 500 Topolino car, bearing a Royal Italian Army plate. This little car was a great success since its appearance on the civilian market in the years preceding the Second World War. It continued to be used for civilian tasks until the 60s of last century.


Autocarro SPA CL39; questo autocarro leggero è stato uno dei veicoli di trasporto adottati dalle forze armate italiane immediatamente prima della seconda guerra mondiale. Questo esemplare in attesa di restauro, che porta la colorazione mimetica impiegata nell'ultima fase del conflitto, è stato reperito in Francia.
Autocarro SPA CL39, this truck is a light transport vehicles adopted by the Italian armed forces immediately before the Second World War. This one, awaiting for restoration, and that bears the camouflage used in the last phase of the conflict, it has been found in France.


Autocarretta OM 37: questo piccolo mezzo è il tentativo di realizzare un veicolo da traporto economico ad alta mobilità per le forze armate italiane. Fu ampiamente usato nel corso della seconda guerra mondiale. 
Autocarretta OM 37: this little vehicle it is an attempt to create an economic high mobility transport vehicle for the Italian armed forces. It was widely used during World War II.

autovettura FIAT 508C Coloniale. Questo particolare esemplare, che porta le insegne della Divisione Corazzata Ariete e la colorazione desertica, ha partecipato in anni recenti ad alcune spedizioni ad El Alamein, e ne è memoria la scritta in arabo sul cofano.
FIAT 508C Colonial car . This particular exeplar, which bears the insignia of the Ariete Armoured Division and the desert livery, took part in recent years to some expeditions to El Alamein, and the memory is written in Arabic on the hood.


Autocarro FIAT 15 TER, veicolo leggero ampiamente impiegato nel corso della prima guerra mondiale.

Autocarro FIAT 18BL. Questo autocarro medio svolse un ruolo fondamentale nelle fila italiane, durante la prima guerra mondiale. La sua robustezza (e la cronica mancanza di fondi) fecero in modo che fosse ancora utilizzato durante il successivo conflitto mondiale. Fra quanti lo impiegarono, vi era un giovane ufficiale di nome Carlo Azelio Ciampi, poi divenuto Presidente della Repubblica italiana.
Truck Fiat 18BL. This medium truck played a key role in the Italian line, during the First World War. Its strength (and the chronic lack of funds) managed to keep it still used during the next World War. Among those who employed it, there was a young officer named Carlo Azelio Ciampi, who later became President of the Italian Republic.
