La Pistolet Pulemet Shpagina 1941 è uno fra i simboli del soldato sovietico, del vincitore della seconda guerra mondiale; ed è anche una fra le più longeve armi nate dal concetto del moschetto automatico. Prodotta nel corso della seconda guerra mondiale in oltre cinque milioni di esemplari, è stata ed è ancora impiegata in molti teatri di guerra, dove la sua robustezza e semplicità sono estremamente apprezzate, a dispetto della munizione calibro 7,63 mm non facile da reperire.
ARES ha dedicato a questo simbolo storico una riproduzione all'altezza dell'originale, e forse anche più curata e raffinata; grazie a Military Store, il negozio softair di Conegliano, siamo in grado di presentare in questa rassegna fotografica uno fra i primi tre esemplari di questa AGE arrivati ufficialmente in Italia.

The Pistolet Pulemet Shpagina 1941 is one of the symbols of the Soviet soldier, the winner of the Second World War and is also one of the oldest weapons born of the concept of automatic rifle. Produced during the Second World War in more than five million copies, has been and it is still used in many theaters of war, where its strength and simplicity are extremely popular, despite that its 7.63 mm caliber ammunition is not easy to find.
ARES has dedicated to this historic icon a reproduction ofsuited to the original, and maybe even the most prepared and refined.
Thanks to Military Store, Airsoft store in Conegliano, we are able to present this collection of photographs depicting one of the first three AEG officially arrived in Italy.

ARES ha fatto un buon lavoro sulla componente strutturale esterna: buon metallo e buon legno, per una replica fra le più solide e compatte che il abbia avuto occasione di osservare. Il metallo mi è parso brunito, ed il legno è verniciato con un ottimo risultato.

ARES has done a good job on the external structural component: good metal and good wood, one of the most solid and compact replicas that I has had the chance to observe. I thought metal it is burnished, and wood is painted with a good result.


La canna è dotata di un manicotto forato in lamiera, che nell'originale proteggeva le mani del tiratore dalle scottature. Le mire sono estremamente semplici, con l'alzo posteriore regolabile su due distanze. Il manubrio dell'otturatore ha un elemento scorrevole che lo blocca in chiusura od in apertura.
Una fra le rare piccole pecche di questo modello è l'impiego di viti moderne con taglio a croce od esagonale, incongrue con quelle usate sulla vera Pepescià.

The barrel has a hollow steel sleeve, which protectedthe hands of the shooter from burn. The sigths are very simple, with the adjustable rear blade for two distances. The bolt handle has a sliding element that blocks the bolt opening or closing.
One of the few small flaws of this model is the use of modern hexagonal or cross cutting screw, incongruous with those used on real Pepescià.


I comandi sulla PPSH41 sono pochi. La leva davanti al grilletto è quella della sicurezza, che nel modello ARES dovrebbe fungere da selettore di tiro.
La parte posteriore dell'upper receiver funge anche da fermo per la scomposizione campale.
Il cartellino appeso alla guardia del grilletto indica la prova di potenza, che ARES esegue per ogni suo modello; in questo caso, il risultato è di 0,85 joule.

The controls on PPSH41 are few. The lever forward to the trigger is that of security, which in the ARES model should serve as  firing mode selector.
The rear of Upper receiver also serves as a latch for the field stripping.
The tag attached to the trigger guard indicates the power test, which runs for every ARES model; in this case, the result is 0.85 joules.



La rotella di regolazione dell'hop, a cui si accede dal vano di espulsione; poco avanti, i soli marchi notati sulla riproduzione.

The hop up thumb wheel , which is accessed from the ejection port; shortly before, the only marks noted on reproduction.



L'alloggiamento del caricatore, con la robusta leva di ritegno; quasi impossibile rilasciare per errore il caricatore anche nella foga del gioco.

The housing of the magazine, with its strong retaining leverage; it is almost impossible to accidentally release the magazine even in the heat of the game.


Il calcio in legno, con l'alloggiamento per la batteria chiuso da uno sportellino, e il passante per la cinghia.

The stock it is of real wood, with the battery compartment closed by a door, and the sling loop.


Lo smontaggio da campo avviene come nell'originale, basculando l'upper receiver. Il modello è scarrellante, ed il finto otturatore è dotato di doppia guida, per un funzionamento regolare.

Disassembly takes place as the original, tilting the upper receiver. The model has a bolt blowback function, and the fake bort is equipped with double guides for smooth operation.



Il caricatore dell'arma originale conteneva 71 pallottole; quello della replica ARES, realizzato interamente in metallo, può ospitare 2000 BB, con un sistema meccanico di alimentazione. Lo smontaggio avviene tramite un dato, dotato di fermo di sicurezza.

The original magazine of the weapon contained 71 bullets; those of the ARES replica is made entirely of metal, and can hold 2000 BB's with a mechanical powered feeder. Disassembly takes place through a not, with a safety lock.

L'impressione complessiva che provo è che questo prodotto di ARES possa competere al titolo di migliore AEG del 2010; la scelta originale del soggetto, l'esecuzione curata e robusta, e la possibilità di utilizzo anche nell'airsoft, lo rendono un possibile protagonista dei campi di gioco per chi si è stufato di M4 ed AK47.
The overall impression I felt it is that this ARES product can compete for the title of best AEG in 2010; the original choice of subject, the careful and robust execution, and the ability to use alsoin airsoft, make it possible protagonist of playgrounds for those who have been tired of the M4 and AK47.
