La notizia di una buona serie di nuovi arrivi a Military Store, il negozio di Conegliano ormai noto a chi segue questa rubrichetta, mi spinge a muovere verso settentrione, armato di macchina fotografica e cavalletto... ed il carniere si riempie.
Ecco le prime prede: due repliche di KING ARMS targate DPMS Panther Arms. Si tratta delle versione Stubby e CQB, entrambe dotate di calcio tipo Crane destinato ad ospitare le batterie, e di una serie di scine per l'installazione di dispositivi accessori. Nella confezione, per entrambi è fornita una impugnatura anteriore a sgancio rapido.
The news of a good number of new arrivals to Military Store, the Conegliano shop well known to Veneto and Friuli softgunners, pushes me to move toward the north, armed with camera and tripod ... and the bag fills.
Here are the first prey: two KING ARMS replicas branded DPMS Panther Arms. I found the Stubby and CQB versions, both with Crane stock intended to house the batteries, and a series of rails for the installation of accessories. In the package, is provided for both a front grip with quick release.



















































































































































































































































































































La versione Stubby è fornita con una impugnatura mobile anteriore ed un caricatore del tipo standard in lamiera; le mire sono entrambe mobili, fissate alla scina MilStd 1913 e del tipo flip up.
La variante CQB rappresentata nelle foto che seguono, e dotata di canna media, ha una presentazione ed un corredo ben diversi; tutti gli accessori installati (a partire dal calcio e dal caricatore thermhold) sono prodotti dalla Magpul, e nella confezione sono presenti anche l'impugnatura anteriore rimovibile, una batteria LiPO ed il suo caricabatterie dedicato. I titolari di Military Store mi hanno confermato che la meccanica è stata tarata per l'impiego delle più potenti batterie ai polimeri di litio.
Stubby version comes with a removable grip and a standard metal sheet magazine, the aims are both mobile and flip up, fixed to a MilStd 1913  rail.
CQB variant represented in the photos that follow, with a midsized barrel, come with very different presentation and outfit, and all accessories installed (from calcium to thermhold magazine) are produced by MAGPUL. Inside packaging are also a removable front grip, a LiPo battery and its dedicated charger. Holders of Military Store confirmed to me that the mechanism has been calibrated for the use of more powerful lithium polymer battery.


















































































































































































































































































































Le impressioni avute maneggiando le due repliche sono state estremamente positive; la costruzione è solida, e le parti sono lavorate con precisione, trasmettendo una bella sensazione realistica. In entrambi i modelli l'accesso all'hop up avviene arretrando il falso otturatore, trattenuto aperto dal bolt catch (funzionante come nell'originale. Le mire installate sono ben acquisibili, salde in apertura, e possono bacilmente abbinarsi ad un dispositivo optronico. Una scelta curiosa (e dal mio punto di vista gradevole per il realismo che restituisce) è l'installazione di uno spegnifiamma tipo Noveske generatore di rumore. Specialmente nel tiro a raffica, effettuato in ambiente chiuso, la sensazione è decisamente... assordante.

The conclusions drawn by handling the two replicas were extremely positive: the construction is solid, and the parts are machined with precision, sending a nice realistic feeling. In both models the hop-up access it happens by receding the fake shutter kept open by bolt catch (functioning as the original weapon). The installed sights are firm when deployed, and can easily be combined with an optronic device. A curious choice (and from my point of view an attractive returns for realism) is the installation of a Noveske type flash hider - noise generator. Especially in the burst shooting performed in an enclosed environment, the feeling is quite deafening....
