SRC MP 40

La Machine Pistole 40 è una fra le armi automatiche più note della seconda guerra mondiale, e non solo; nei suoi primi anni di esistenza ne erano dotate, ad esempio, le forze armate della neonata Repubblica di Israele.

Nel tempo non sono mancate riproduzioni per airsoft di questa arma, ed attualmente sul mercato sono facilmente reperibili il modello "budget line" di AGM, e quello "high level" di SRC. oggetto di queste righe.

Ritengo che chi acquista una riproduzione di MP40, lo faccia principalmente per aggiungerla ad una collezione, od impiegarla in attività di reenactment. Ecco quindi un walkaround che la presenta dal punto di vista dell'oplofilo, lasciando ad altri il valutarne l'efficienza quale strumento per il gioco dell'airsoft.

La scatola più grande del necessario forse è dovuta alla prevista uscita della MP41, annunciata dalla SRC ancora qualche anno orsono, ma ancora non avvenuta.

La fedeltà nelle forme e nell'aspetto di questa MP40 prodotta da SRC è buona, ma con un difetto. Il passante anteriore per la cinghia nell'arma originale è posto a destra, e non, come qui, a sinistra. Per rimediare occorre smontare l'outer barrel, in modo molto simile a quanto avveniva per l'originale, e ruotare l'anello con il passante. Lo stesso difetto è presente sul modello AGM, che in più ha un inesistente selettore di tiro.

l'alloggiamento del caricatore ed il pulsante di sgancio sono riprodotti bene.

La plastica usata per le guancette e l'astina è un po' troppo lucida, se confrontata con le parti originali.

Il calcio pieghevole è robusto, ma una volta aperto si rivela un poco ballerino.

Le parti della MP40 di SRC prodotte per stampaggio presentano evidenti impronte di estrattori, assenti sull'arma vera realizzata in lamiera d'acciaio stampata o fusione di alluminio.

Moulded parts of the SRC MP40 have a clear impression of extractors, absent on true MP made of sheet-steel or cast aluminum.

Sul modello sono presenti un paio di marchi di accettazione (WaffenAmt). Il codice riportato è WaA25, che però si riferisce alla ditta Remscheider Hobelmesser-Fabrik, Josua Cort Sohn, Remscheid, Nordrhein-Westfalen (codice alfabetico DDL), dove è stato impiegato fra il 1943 ed il 1944.

La ditta in questione produceva baionette e coltelli.
