Può capitare di assistere ad una vera esercitazione militare anfibia, trovandosi nel bel mezzo dell'azione?
La risposta è si, per chi agli inizi di maggio 2008 si trovava a Caorle, ed ha assistito ad una simulazione di sbarco delle Truppe Anfibie Lagunari dell'Esercito.

The answer is yes, for those in early May 2008 it were in Caorle, an anciet Italian coastal town, and has witnessed a simulated landing done by the Italian Army Truppe Anfibie Lagunari.

Nelle forze armate italiane esistono due componenti specializzate nella guerra anfibia: il Reggimento San Marco della Marina Militare, e le Truppe Anfibie Lagunari dell'Esercito Italiano.
Questa ultima specialità, meno nota e spesso confusa con la prima unità, è nata negli immediatamente dopo la seconda guerra mondiale, col compito di difendere, in caso di un attacco del Patto di Varsavia, l'area costiera dell'Alto Adriatico, caratterizzata da spiagge sabbiose, lagune, corsi d'acqua.
Sino a che è rimasta in vigore la leva obbligatoria, i Lagunari, così come gli Alpini, hanno avuto reclutamento prevalentemente locale, essendo composti da giovani veneti, giuliani, friulani, romagnoli.
Col mutamento del quadro politico, i Lagunari si sono trasformati in fanteria leggera, mantenendo la speciale capacità operativa anfibia legata anche all'ambiente della Laguna, ma sapendo operare anche in teatri e con metodi e mezzi diversi.

The Italian armed forces have two components specialized in amphibious warfare: the San Marco Regiment of the Navy, and the Italian Army Lagoon Amphibious Troops, Lagunari.
This last specialty, lesser known and often confused with the first unit, was born immediately after the Second World War, with the task of defending, in the event of an attack by the Warsaw Pact, the Adriatic coastal area, characterized by sandy beaches, lagoons and rivers.
As long as it remained the conscription, the Lagunari, as well as the Alpini mountain troops, had predominantly local recruitment, being composed by young North Eastern Italians.
By changing the policy framework, the Lagoon have become light infantry, keeping the special amphibious operational capability also linked to the environment of the lagoon, but knowing also operate in theaters and with different means and methods.


Queste immagini risalgono all'aprile 2008, quando, in occasione del raduno nazionale dell'Associazione Lagunari Truppe Anfibie, la baietta di Caorle è divenuta teatro di una dimostrazione di sbarco; un evento decisamente raro, accaduto solo una volta vent'anni prima, ed incorniciato da una imponente presenza di folla, e di bagnanti sorpresi forse da quanto accadeva sotto i loro occhi.

L'esercitazione ha seguito la tecnica dell'operazione anfibia, comprimendone tuttavia tempi e spazi.

These images date back to April 2008 when, at the national meeting of the Lagunari Amphibious Troops Association, the little bay of Caorle became the scene of a landing demonstration, a very rare event that occurred only once decades earlier, and framed by an imposing crowd, and also of tourists, perhaps surprised by what was happening in front of their eyes.

The exercise followed the amphibious operation technique, however compressing time and space.

Approcciando la riva, gli esploratori cercano di godere fin dove possibile del mascheramento offerto dall'acqua.

LA PRIMA ONDATA D'ASSALTO

THE FIRST ASSAULT WAVE

La presa di terra della prima ondata avviene con rapidità, e nello strano scenario balneare e vacanziero della spiaggia di Caorle.

The earthing of the first wave occurs rapidly, on a the strange scenario of holiday resort and beach of Caorle.

La seconda ondata anfibia segue rapidamente alla prima, e prende terra da battelli gonfiabili a chiglia rigida.

The second amphibious wave quickly follows the first, and take land from rigid keel inflatable boats.

La terza ondata anfibia è costituita da due veicoli anfibi AA7V, che nel prendere terra azionano il dispositivo fumogeno, e giungono sulla spiaggia preceduti da una imponente ondata.

The third wave consists of two amphibious vehicles AA7V, that in taking land has activated the smoking devices, and arrives on the beach preceded by a massive water wave.

IL RIPIEGAMENTO

MOVING BACK


Consolidata la presa di terra, le truppe impegnate iniziano il ripiegamento, fornendosi a vicenda copertura man mano che i veicoli ed i natanti lasciano la spiaggia

The troops engaged then started the moving back, give each other cover as vehicles and boats leave the beach
