Il marchio C-MORE Systems distingue una società statunitense specializzata nella produzione di sistemi di puntamento a punto rosso per uso sportivo, destinati specialmente al tiro IPSC. I red dot C-MORE si distinguono per peso e dimensioni ridotte, e per il design frutto di una progettazione pensata per offrire la maggior visione dell'area di tiro.

Una loro caratteristica è quella di permettere la mira semplicemente allineando bersaglio e punto rosso, ovunque questo si trovi sulla lente.

Per scoprirne tutte le caratteristiche, questo è il sito dell'industria C_MORE .

I dispositivi C-MORE hanno riscosso e riscuotono un grande successo fra i tiratori, non solo sportivi, grazie anche ad una gamma che li offre in più versioni, per uso militare, sportivo, civile o venatorio.

La riproduzione di NEWELEMENT

Il marchio Element è ben noto a tutti i softgunners appassionati di customizzazione, grazie al suo catalogo ricco di parti ed accessori. Dopo un momento di crisi, la società è riapparsa con nome di New Element, mantenendo la sua ampia gamma di prodotti, e fra questi ci sono stati forniti due dispositivi di puntamento ispirati ai red dot C-More, il SEEMORE REFLAX SIGHT FOR HI-CAPA, di cui scriverò più avanti, ed il SEEMORE RAILWAY REFLAX SIGHT, oggetto di queste righe. Giusto precisare che la loro “fonte di ispirazione” è rappresentata rispettivamente dai modelli Serendipity e Railway di C-More.

Anche se ormai ho una certa esperienza di testi in cino inglese, credo che le deformazioni linguistiche qui siano del tutto volute, per evitare

Si tratta in realtà di un unico dispositivo, dotato nel primo caso di staffe da avvitare al fusto delle pistole GBB Hi-Capa prodotte dalla Tokyo Marui, e dei loro cloni, e nel secondo adatto ai moderni rail.

La confezione è molto semplice, realizzata in cartone e con stampati nome e logo del produttore; il contenuto è precisato da una etichetta adesiva.

All'interno, sistemati fra alcuni parallelepipedi di materiale antiurto, ho trovato due sacchettini di plastica, contenenti il primo il red dot, ed il secondo due chiavi Brugola ed una protezione per l'alloggiamento del diodo proiettore.

Era presente anche un foglio che descriveva le principali caratteristiche della famiglia di dispositivi, senza illustrarne il modo di installazione ed uso.

Il Seemore Railway è formato da due parti principali: il dispositivo di puntamento con corpo in materiale plastico, e la slitta per fissarlo a rail sia di tipo 1319 Picatinny che Weaver.

Per inciso, la differenza fra i due rail è data dalla disposizione degli intagli trasversali, che nel primo caso sono equidistanti fra di loro, e nel secondo posti a distanze disuguali.

Un esame esterno mostra che la qualità di stampa delle parti in plastica non si pone oltre la media, con evidenti sbavature e segni non rimossi del distacco dallo sprue di stampaggio. Queste carenze estetiche non portano, per le prove che ho fatto, a difetti funzionali o strutturali, e secondo me testimoniano la natura artigianale di New Element.

Come ho detto, questo red dot è provvisto di una slitta realizzata usando lamiera di metallo ferroso tranciata e piegata. Da tre feritoie sul lato destro passano altrettante viti, che trattengono dei fermi sul lato sinistro.

La vite anteriore è in posizione fissa, mentre quella posteriore può scorrere e quindi adattarsi a rail di differenti dimensioni.

In questo particolare esemplare, una delle due viti aveva la parte iniziale della filettatura di diametro minore. Niente di irreparabile, visto che ho potuto sostituirle con due viti da 4 mm di diametro per 40 di lunghezza, reperite in un negozio di bricolage, al fine di poterle eventualmente fissare con un dado.

Ho quindi fissato il Railway al Picatinny dell'ASG scelta per la prova, un Blaser LRS1 di King Arms. Il lavoro non ha presentato difficoltà, ed il dot ha dimostrato di rimanere in posizione corretta una volta serrate le viti.

Il diodo luminoso fisso è posto nella parte posteriore del Railway, in un piccolo alloggiamento metallico sporgente.

Come parte accessoria, è fornita anche una ulteriore protezione in plastica, che prende il posto di una placchetta trattenuta da due viti. Poiché il diodo è fissato alla scheda elettronica solo dai suoi piedini di contatto, è consigliabile installare questa protezione, che interferisce ben poco con la visuale del tiratore.

L'accensione e la potenza luminosa sono regolate da una minuscola manopola sporgente dall'estremità posteriore. La regolazione è continua, e può essere effettuata con le dita, od usando nell'apposito incavo un piccolo cacciavite.

Davanti al diodo, e chiuso da un coperchio fissato con due viti, è ricavato l'alloggiamento della batteria di alimentazione, che è del tipo CR-1/3N usato comunemente negli apparecchi fotografici. Nel Railway fornito per questa recensione, la batteria sembra aver trasudato del materiale ceroso; non so dire se si tratti di materiale protettivo, oppure di essudato causato dal suo deterioramento.

Lo schermo trasparente dove si proietta il punto luminoso è realizzato in vetro, cui sono applicati uno strato protettivo bluastro posteriore ed uno rossastro posteriore. Non mi pare abbia particolari proprietà ottiche. La forma è circolare, ed il diametro è di 27 millimetri.

Sotto allo schermo e sul fianco destro sono presenti due viti con testa a taglio e passo di filettatura corto, che servono a tarare il dispositivo. La regolazione è continua e molto sensibile.

Mancando le istruzioni, ecco alcune indicazioni su come azzerare il red dot.

Con questi dispositivi il punto proiettato deve spostarsi nella direzione dell'errore per correggerlo.

Quindi, se i bb colpiscono alto, la vite dell'alzo deve essere ruotata in senso orario, ed in senso antiorario se il colpo giunge basso.

Quando il tiro è spostato a destra, la vite della deriva deve essere ruotata in senso antiorario, ed in senso orario se i BB giungono a sinistra del bersaglio.

Nelle prove effettuate, la regolazione non si è modificata per effetto del susseguirsi dei tiri.

Sotto l'aspetto pratico, questo strumento ha caratteristiche legate alla sua specializzazione sportiva.

Come ogni altro dispositivo di mira, installandolo su una pistola diventerà impossibile usare le comuni fondine. Le due alternative sono una modifica artigianale, o l'acquisto di fondine IPSC.

La sagoma bassa lo rende a mio avviso adatto per l'installazione su fucili col calcio non allineato alla linea di mira, come è per l'M4 ed i vari derivati privi del maniglione di trasporto.

La forma ed il materiale rispondono bene alle esigenze del tiro di precisione, ma sono meno protettivi del dot a tubo su un campo di airsoft (su cui, del resto, ogni ottica andrebbe riparata con custodie trasparenti).

L'installazione è questione di pochi minuti, ma richiede una chiave Brugola da 2,5 mm non fornita nella confezione.

La sostituzione della batteria non è difficile, anche se le viti che fermano il coperchio del suo alloggiamento si inseriscono direttamente nella plastica, e col tempo possono spianare la filettatura. La taratura richiede un cacciavite, e la calma che si ha in un poligono.

Ed appunto in un poligono ho eseguito la mia prova, in una giornata grigia e poco luminosa.

Dico subito che il Seemore non è il C-more: i BB vanno sul bersaglio solo allineando punto rosso e cerchio dello schermo.

Questo allineamento avviene con facilità, sia nel tiro ad uno che in quello a due occhi aperti.

Il punto rosso è fra i più piccoli che mi sia capitato di incontrare: a dieci metri, copre un cerchio di circa sette centimetri, che divengono poco più di dieci a venti metri dal bersaglio.

La regolazione della luminosità permette di adattare bene il punto alle condizioni ambientali. L'irraggiamento periferico è contenuto, e non disturba più di tanto il puntamento di precisione nelle ore diurne.

Il tiro notturno stimo non si combini con nessun red dot.

Detto questo, nel tiro lento mirato il Railway ha fatto bene il suo lavoro. Dopo averlo tarato a dieci metri, sono riuscito ad avere delle rosate convincenti anche a venti, e con un fucile che ancora conosco poco. Devo dire che le regolazioni possibili nel calcio del Blaser mi hanno aiutato parecchio ad ottenere una buona posizione di mira.

Tirando le somme, questo prodotto della New Element si inserisce in un settore di nicchia, dove sono già presenti numerosi prodotti similari, e quasi tutti con struttura interamente metallica.

Si dimostra poco curato sotto il profilo estetico e nelle finiture costruttive, ma il lavoro per cui è stato pensato lo svolge bene.

The Original

The C-MORE Systems brand distinguishes a U.S. company specializing in the production of red dot sighting systems for use in sports, especially for IPSC shooting. The C-MORE red dot are characterized by reduced weight and size, and design result of a project meant to offer maximum viewing area of shooting.
Their main feature is to allow the aims simply by aligning the target and the red dot wherever it is on the lens.

C-MORE Devices have met and collect an amazing success among the shooters, not just sportsmen, thanks to a range that offers them in several versions, for military, sport, civil or hunting.

New Element Reproduction

The Element brand is well known to all softgunners fans of customization, thanks to its rich Catalogue of parts and accessories. After a moment of crisis, the company has reappeared with the name of New Element, maintaining its wide range of products, among them we have been provided two pointing devices inspired by the C-More red dot, the Seemore REFLAX SIGHT FOR HI-CAPA, which I will write later on, and RAILWAY Seemore REFLAX SIGHT, the subject of these lines. Fair to point out that their "inspiration" is represented by C-More Models Serendipity and Railway.

Although now I have some experience of texts in Chinese English language, here I believe that the deformations are completely desired, to avoid problems of trademarks.
This is actually a single device, on the first case equipped of brackets to be screwed to the frame of the Hi-Capa GBB guns produced by Tokyo Marui and their clones, and in the second suited to modern rails.
The packaging is very simple, made of cardboard and printed with name and logo of the manufacturer; the content is specified by a sticker.

Inside, arranged within a few blocks of shock-absorbing material, I found two plastic bags containing the first red dot, and the second two Allen keys and a protection diode for housing the projector.
It was also a paper describing the main features of the family of devices, without explain how to install and use.
The Seemore Railway consists of two main parts: the pointing device with a plastic body, and the slide to attach to both 1319 Picatinny and Weaver-type rails.
Incidentally, the difference between the two rails is given by the arrangement of transverse grooves, which are equidistant in the first case among themselves, and second placed at unequal distances.

An external examination shows that the plastic parts print quality does not arise above average, with obvious molding bleeding and unremoved signs of separation from the sprue. These cosmetics deficiencies do not wear, for testing I've done, functional or structural defects, and in my testimony to the handcrafted nature of the New Element products.
As I said, this red dot is provided using a sled made of cut and bent iron sheet metal. For three slots on the right side pass two screws that hold the latches on the left side.
The front screw is fixed, while the rear can slide and then adapt to different sizes rail.

In this particular specimen, one of the two screws had the initial part of the thread of minor diameter. Nothing could be irreparable, because I could replace them with two screws 4 mm in diameter by 40 long, found in a store, in order to possibly fix them with a nut.
I then fixed the Railway at the ASG Picatinny choice for the test, a King Arms Blaser LRS1. The work did not present difficulties, and the dot has been shown to remain in place once tightened the screws.

The fixedLED is at the rear of the Railway, in a small protruding metal housing.
As accessory part, it also provided an additional plastic shield, which takes the place of a plate held by two bolts. Since the diode is fixed to the circuit board only by its contact pins, you should install this protection, which interferes little with the sight of the shooter.
The light turning on and output is governed by a small knob protruding from the rear. The adjustment is continuous, and can be done with the fingers or using a small screwdriver in the apposite notch.

In front of the diode, and closed by a lid secured with two screws, is the housing for the battery, which is of type CR-1/3N commonly used in cameras. In the Railway provided for this review, the battery seems to have exuded waxy material, I can not tell whether it is protective, or ooze caused by its degradation.
The transparent screen where you project the point of light is made of glass, which is applied a front bluish protective layer and a back reddish. I do not think it has special optical properties. The shape is circular and the diameter is 27 mm.

Below the screen and on the right side there are two screws, which are used to calibrate the device. The adjustment is continuous and very sensitive.
Lacking instructions, here are some directions on how to adjust the red dot.
With these devices, to correct the projected point point must move in same direction of the error.
So if the bb hit high, the upper screw must be rotated clockwise and counterclockwise if the shot comes down.
When the shot move to the right, the side screw must be rotated counterclockwise and clockwise if the BB come to the left of the target.
When tested, the adjustment did not change as a result of the succession of shots.

Under the practical aspect, this tool has features related to its sports specialization.
Like any other similar designed device, by installing it on a handgun iy will be impossible to use common holsters. The two alternatives are an handicraft modification, or the purchase of IPSC holsters.
The low-profile, in my opinion makes it suitable for installation on rifles where the butt is not aligned with the line of sight, as it is for the M4 and the various derivatives without the carrying handle.
The shape and the material responds well to the needs of target shooting, but they are less protective of the tube dot on an airsoft field (where, incidentally, every lens should be repaired with transparent housings).
Installation is a matter of minutes, but requires a 2.5 mm Allen key not supplied in the package.

Battery replacement is not difficult, even if the screws that hold the lid of the housing fits directly into the plastic, and over time can smooth the thread.The calibration requires a screwdriver, and the calm that has a shooting range.
And in fact into a range I ran my test, in a gray day, and not very bright.
I must say that the Seemore is not C-more: the BB only be on the target by aligning the red dot and screen circle.

This alignment is done with ease, shooting both having one than two eyes open.
The red dot is among the smallest that I have ever met: at ten meters, it covers a circle of about seven centimeters which become little more than ten at twenty meters from the target.
The brightness adjustment lets you adapt well the point to the environmental conditions. The peripheral radiation is contained, and does not disturb much the pointing accuracy during the day.
The night shooting I esteem does not combine with any red dot.
That said, in slow-roll targeted shooting the Railway did its job well. After having calibrated to ten meters, I managed to get convincing consistence even at twenty, and with a rifle who still I know little. I have to say that adjustments possible in Blaser stock helped me a lot the get a good position to targeting.

Summing up, this product of New Element is part of a niche sector, where there are already many similar items, and almost all with full-metal construction.
He shows little care for aesthetic and finishes construction, but it plays well the work for which it was thought.
