Era ormai da tempo che il famigerato Real Sword Type 56 era entrato nel mio cuore...e finalmente mi sono deciso a fare il passo dopo aver appurato che un noto venditore di S. Marino è diventato importatore ufficiale di tale marca di fucili e che ha anche disponibili vari ricambi. 
Dovete sapere, infatti, che tutti i prodotti di questa casa sono contraddistinti dal fatto che ricalcano in maniera fedele al 100 % le dimensioni delle armi vere, quindi necessitano di un GB apposito con tanto di pistone, ingranaggi, spingi pallino e T hop-up dedicati. 
 

It was long time that the infamous Real Sword Type 56 it was entered in my heart ... and I finally decided to do the jump, after apprehending that a well-known merchant of St. Marino became the official importer of that brand of rifles, and also has available a number of spares. 
You must know, in fact, that all products by this house are faithful to 100% the size of real weapons, and requires a special Gear Box with both the piston, gear, thrust ball and T hop-ups dedicated.

Partiamo subito con una piccola precisazione di dovere...anche se a prima vista sembra un AK, non lo è, infatti è la copia cinese dell' AK 47…un Norinco Type 56.
Su internet ho trovato le differenze della versione real steel di questo fucile rispetto ad un AKM :

Let's start off with a small clarification... even though at first glance this replica will seems an AK, it is not; in fact, it is an AK 47 Chinese copy... the Norinco Type 56.
On internet I found the differences between the real steel version of this rifle and an AKM:

 

• The Type 56 has a 1.5mm stamped receiver versus the 1mm stamping of the AKM.
• The barrel on the Type 56 is similar to the AK-47 and heavier than that of the AKM.
• The front sights are fully enclosed compared to the AKM and AK-47 which are partially opened.
• Has the double hook disconnector of the AK-47 unlike the single hook disconnector of the AKM.
• Has a smooth dust cover like the AK-47; unlike the ribbed dust cover of the AKM.
• May have a folding spike bayonet (nicknamed the "pig sticker") as opposed to the detachable knife bayonets of the AK-47 and AKM.
• Most Type 56's do not have the threaded muzzle found on the AK-47 and AKM.
• Has a blued finish like the AK-47 unlike the AKM which has a black oxide finish or a parkerized finish.
• Like the AK-47, the sights will adjust to 800ms, where the AKM's will adjust to 1000ms.
• Most Type 56's lack the side scope mount the AKM has.

La replica ha una lunghezza di 880 mm ed un peso dichiarato dal costruttore di 3,5 kg.

Veniamo ora all’analisi del prodotto :

La scatola si presenta di buona fattura e reca stampata l’immagine del prodotto.

Una volta aperta la scatola, ci si trova di fronte ad un imballaggio molto curato.

Ora analizziamo il caricatore di questo RS fornitoi col fucile: contiene circa 150 bb (esiste anche una versione da 500 bb) ed è veramente ben fatto, rispetto alle comuni marche da SA è un altro pianeta.
Sotto è possibile vedere le foto in cui metto a confronto il caricatore di questo Type 56 con un Marui in metallo da 600 bb.

Now we analyze this RS magazine, supplied with the gun: it contains about 150 bb (there is also a 500-bb version) and it is really well done; compared to ordinary SA brands it lives in another planet.

E successivamente una bella pesata: che dire, quello della RS è molto più solido, merito della lamiera decisamente più spessa. Inoltre l’acciaio è brunito (come il resto del fucile) e non verniciato.

And then a nice weighing: what to say, that by RS it is much more solid, due to the much thicker plate. Moreover, the steel it is burnished (as like as the remaining of the gun) instead of being painted.

Uno sguardo al fucile e poi, in primo piano, il numero seriale unico dello stesso, inciso sia sul lower che sull’upper receiver...che dire un tocco di classe che non guasta mai.

A look at the gun and then, in the foreground, the same unique serial number, engraved on both the upper and lower receiver...a touch of class that never hurts.

 

Il fucile, una volta imbracciato, stupisce subito per la sua solidità.
E' veramente monolitico, sembra di trovarsi di fronte ad un pezzo di ferro unico, nessuno scricchiolio o movimento anomalo delle varie parti…sensazione che non mi hai mai dato nessun altro fucile.

Tutto il corpo del fucile si presenta in solido acciaio brunito, così come le varie mire, grilletto, canna, canna recupero gas ecc.
I legni non sono da meno, hanno uno spessore considerevole e sono ottima fattura, anche qui mai visto nulla di simile…anche il colore degli stessi è lucido e lo rende molto simile alla versione real steel.

The rifle, once handled, immediate splash for its solidity.
It is truly monolithic, it seems that you are dealing with a single piece of iron, no creaking or abnormal movement of the various parties ... feeling that you never have from any other rifle.
The whole body of the gun comes in solid burnished steel, as well as the various sights, trigger, barrel, hammer, gas recovery duct, etc.
The woods are no lesser, have a considerable thickness and are well-made, again never seen anything like it...even the colour of them it is shiny and makes it very similar to the real steel version.

Sorpresa: proprio come nel modello reale, con un’apposita chiavetta contenuta nel tool-kit si gira il perno e si può rimuovere la canna di recupero gas e la parte superiore della guancetta.

Surprise: just like the real weapon, with a special key from the tool-kit, you may turn the pin and remove the gas recovery duct and the upper front handle.

 

Notate lo spessore dei legni e la loro qualità. Vengono annichiliti anche quelli della VFC.
Fate anche caso a quei piccoli fori fatti sulla canna: da qualche parte avevo sentito dire che erano stati fatti per evitare che qualcuno potesse modificare questa replica da SA in un’arma vera ma secondo me si tratta comunque di una bufala.

Notice the thickness of the woods and their quality. also those of VFC are being annihilated.
Also notice to those small holes made on the barrel. I heard somewhere that these have been made to ensure that anyone could modify this airsoftgun into a real weapon, but I think it is still a hoax.

 

Per quanto riguarda la batteria, ci sono due opzioni: o la classica nel calcio oppure sotto l’upper receiver. Peccato tuttavia che l’alloggio non sia molto grande e la mia lipo della King Arms a tubo non ci entra. Invece vi si può inserire la Li-po a siluro della D-Boy.

Regarding the battery, there are two options: either the classic way, inside the stock, or under the upper receiver. It is a pity, however, that the accommodation is not very big and my King Arms lipo do not enters there. Instead you can insert the D-Boy “torpedo” Li-Po.

 

Aprendo l’otturatore si accede al vano per la regolazione dell'hop-up, come in tutti gli altri modelli di AK.
Nella foto sotto uno sguardo alla parte inferiore del fucile con tanto di alloggiamento caricatore.
Notate anche la maggior lunghezza della T hop-up rispetto a quelle standard Marui anche se, per fortuna, tutte le comuni canne interne ed i gommini hop-up sono compatibili.

Opening the bolt it is accessed to the compartment for adjusting hop-up, as in all other models of AK.
In the photo below look at the bottom of the rifle complete with magazine well.
Note also the greater length of T hop-ups than the standard Marui although, fortunately, the inner barrel and hop-up rubbers are compatible.

 

Per poter meglio vedere le differenze rispetto ad un modello tradizionale da SA ho fatto alcune foto ad un AK 47 Custom Marui Type metallo e legno che avevo fatto in precedenza con i legni ed il corpo invecchiati.

To see in a better way the difference between a traditional model of SA I took some photos to a Marui AK 47 Type Custom metal and wood, that I had done previously with the woods and the body aged.

Da notare in particolare della differenza dell’altezza del corpo fucile.

In definitiva è un'asg eccezionale, la migliore che mi sia mai capitata per qualità, robustezza, finiture e cura dei particolari.
Non c’è nessun'altro prodotto di pari livello, almeno considerando tutti gli altri fucili da SA che mi siano capitati sotto mano e inoltre, i materiali di costruzione e l’assemblaggio sono apparsi veramente ottimi.
Per una volta credo che valga fino all’ultimo centesimo i soldi spesi contando anche che il prezzo è inferiore ad un AKM della VFC.
Qui state comprando qualcosa di unico, non solo un prodotto da SA ma anche un prodotto per i puri collezionisti.
L'unica nota dolente è la potenza, difatti il fucile esce a circa 1,9 joule, testato con Xcortech e quindi andrà depotenziato.
Questo è tutto per quanto riguarda la parte relativa all’estetica ed alle considerazioni generali e quindi possiamo passare alla meccanica vera e propria dell'asg.

Analizziamo quindi lo smontaggio e la componentistica interna.

Ultimately it is an exceptional ASG, the best I've ever gotten for quality, strength, finish and attention to detail.
There is no other product of equal level, at least considering all the other guns from SA that I have came to hand and also the materials of construction and assembly appeared remarkably well.
For once, I think that it is worth for every cent spent, minding that that the price is less than those of an AKM made by VFC.
Here you are purchasing something of unique, not just an SA product, but also one intended for the pure collectors.
The only sore point it is the power, in fact the rifle, tested with Xcortech, pull out about 1.9 joules, and then will be depowered.
That's all about aesthetics and the general considerations, and then we can proceed to examine the ASG mechanics.

Then we will analyzes disassembly and internal components.

 

Una volta rimossa la canna di recupero gas, agendo sull’apposito perno, si passa alla rimozione della tacca di mira posteriore mediante l’apposita chiave fornita col in fucile.
La chiave è strettamente necessaria vista la grande durezza della mollettina posta sotto la tacca di mira. Tutto questo ha il solo scopo di liberare la parte superiore della torre di mira e poter così accedere alle due brugole che connettono il corpo del fucile con la canna stessa.

Once you remove the gas recovery duct by acting on the appropriate pin, you may pass to remove the rear sight through the special key supplied with the rifle.
The key is strictly necessary given the great hardness of small spring placed under the rear sight. All this is only meant to free the upper part of the aims tower and be able to access the two Allen screws that connect the body with the barrel of the rifle itself.

 

Si procede poi alla rimozione delle due brugole e delle viti che tengono salda la T hop-up alla canna.

Then we proceeds to remove the two allen screws holding firmly the T hop-up to the barrel.

 

Fatto questo si può facilmente sfilare la canna esterna dalla T hop-up e dal corpo del fucile.

Ho messo a confronto la canna interna di questo RS con una di precisione della Prometheus con hop-up King Arms (che monterò sul fucile).
Nella foto sotto potete notare come l’hop-up sia decisamente più lungo di uno standard per AK.
Il produttore dichiara un diametro interno della canna di 6,08mm, misura riscontrata col calibro.

Done this, you can easily pull out the barrel outside the T hop-up and the body of the gun.

I compared the inner barrel of this RS with a Prometheus precision one assembled with a King Arms hop-up (the one that later I will mount on the rifle).
In the photo below you can see how the hop-up is much longer than a standard AK.
The manufacturer declares an internal diameter of the barrel of 6.08 mm, confirmed by the caliper.

 

Il gommino hop-up sembrava incollato alla canna ma toglierlo non è stato difficile; è di buona fattura ma ho preferito sostituirlo con un Marui visto che al tatto era molto duro, scelta tra l’altro obbligata dalla potenza dell’ ASG.

Si procede dunque con lo smontaggio come per gli altri modelli di AK, quindi prima con l’impugnatura e successivamente con il selettore e, vista la forma dello stesso, è necessario schiacciarlo contro il corpo del fucile mentre si svita il perno.

The hop-up rubber seemed glued to the tube but removing it was not difficult, it is well made but I wanted to replace it with a Marui since to the touch it was very hard, among other things a choice required by the power of ASG.

It then proceeds with disassembly as for other models of AK; consequently, with the handle first, then with the selector, and given its shape, you must crush him against the body of the gun while you unscrew the pin.

 

Si passa poi al calcio…notate lo spessore del legno.

Una volta rimosso il gear-box si può osservare molto bene l’estrema cura dei particolari, la presenza di boccole cuscinettate, un particolare anti-reversal che esce dal corpo del gear-box più un foro nella parte posteriore del gb che serve per permettere al pistone di arretrare fino alla massima posizione.

After removing the gear-box can be seen very well the extreme attention to detail, the presence of bearings bushings, a special anti-reversal that protrude from the body of the gear-box, plus a hole in the back of the GB which is used to allow the piston move back up to the maximum position.

Uno sguardo agli ingranaggi e poi in particolare al conico.

Uno sguardo al gruppo aria, niente di particolare o esaltante ma capace al tempo di una ottima tenuta.
La particolarità è data dal pistone, diverso da uno comune da SA. A livello della cremagliera, infatti, è più lungo e quando è compresso questa porzione esce dalla parte posteriore del gear-box.

A look at the air group, nothing of special or exciting, but capable at the time of a great air tighting.
The particular feature is the piston, other than an SA common one. At the rack, in fact, is longer and when this portion is compressed out of the back of the gear-box.

 

Ho penato non poco per il giusto settaggio della potenza, infatti stranamente le molle Etabeta sesta versione sono troppo strette per il guidamolla ed ho dovuto limarne un poco la parte interne.
Però, poi, al rimontaggio dell’arma è sorta una piccola stranezza…ovvero senza spessore né in testa ne in coda il fucile usciva a 1,30 joule, così ho voluto provare con una molla Etabeta prima versione ma anche qui eravamo intorno al 1,18 joule.
Così ho optato per tagliare una molla della prima versione e fare una prova. Fortunatamente al primo tentativo ho subito azzeccato il joule con un unico picco di 1,02 e gli altri dieci tiri di prova a 0,99-1 joule preciso.
Non mi riesco ancora a spiegare il fatto della troppa potenza, ma credo sia dovuta alle diverse misure del GB. Infatti rispetto ad uno tradizionale è un po' più corto e presenta quel foro posteriore che serve per permettere al pistone di arrivare alla massima compressione quindi potrebbe essere che le molle vengano maggiormente compresse e tutto questo aggiunto ad una canna di precisione da 6.03 come la Prometheus, hanno probabilmente fatto il resto.
In definitiva questo "over-joule" è emerso essere causato dallo spessore presente nella testa cuscinettata del pistone che influiva in positivo sulla potenza dell'asg.

I labored greatly for the right setting of the power, in fact, strangely Etabeta springs sixth version are too narrow for the spring rod and I had to file a little the inside.
But then, after reassembling the weapon, it happened a little strange thing... that having thickness in front or back, the gun give 1.30 joules, so I wanted to try an Etabeta first version spring, but here we remained around 1,18 joules.
So I opted to cut a first version spring, and do a test. Fortunately, the first attempt I immediately guessed I still can not explain the fact of too much power, but I think it is due to different measures of the GB. In fact compared to a conventional one is a bit 'short back and presents that hole used to allow the piston to reach the maximum compression so it may be that the springs are further compressed and this added to a barrel by 6:03 as the accuracy of Prometheus have probably done the rest.
Ultimately this "over-joule" is revealed to be caused by the thickness of the piston bearing head that influenced positively the ASG power.the joule with a single peak of 1.02 and the other ten shots reporting 0,99-1 joule precise.
