Credo sia pensiero comune che un capo originale non possa essere paragonato ad una replica, non i materiali, non le finiture.
Attualmente è disponibile sul mercato una quantità di repliche che si può definire tranquillamente “infinita”. Sono disponibili torce, puntatori, vest, uniformi ed altri tipi di equipaggiamenti, di qualità scarsa, mediocre, buona ed ottima, a seconda della tipologia del prodotto e della ditta produttrice.

Questa uniforme rilasciata all'inizio di giugno 2009 dalla DragonRed Airsoft Outlet (DRAO, per comodità) mi ha incuriosito principalmente per le sostanziali differenze rispetto alle altre repliche delle uniformi Crye.

I think it's a common thought that the original can not be compared to a replica, not the materials, not the finish.

Il pattern.
Personalmente non sono un grande fan del mimetismo multicam.
Non lo ritengo “universale”. Certo, sicuramente è più valido della ACU, ma ancora non ci siamo.
Ha sicuramente un campo di applicazione, magari più attuale di altri, dato che moltissime foto che ci arrivano dall'Afghanistan e dall'Iraq mostrano operatori con mimetiche in questo pattern.
E' stata adottata anche da moltissimi reparti SWAT americani, dalla Guardia di Confine USA e persino i polacchi hanno un mimetismo simile.

In questo caso, il tessuto probabilmente non è originale.
Ma paragonato ad altri capi di abbigliamento originali e messo a confronto con del tessuno ufficiale, direi che ne esce abbastanza bene.

Pattern.
Personally I'm not a big fan of multicam camouflage.
I think it's not so "universal".
Surely has a range of application, perhaps more relevant than others, as many pictures that come to us from Afghanistan and Iraq show operators with camouflage in this pattern.
It was also adopted by many north american SWAT units, from the Border Guard U.S. and even the Poles have a similar camouflage, but without the white stains...

In this case, the tissue is probably not original.
But compared to other clothing and a tissue of the original fabric, I'd say it goes quite well.

La giacca - The Jacket

Innanzitutto, con queste repliche, le etichette non sempre sono corrette. La giacca NON E' 100% cotone come dice. La parte realizzata in pattern Multicam (o presunto) è abbastanza rigida. Non troppo fastidiosa a dire il vero.

First, with these replicas, the labels are not always correct. The jacket is NOT '100% cotton as it says. The part made of Multicam pattern (or expected) is quite rigid. Not too annoying but not so comfy.

In rilievo riproduce la quadrettatura tipica del tessuto Ripstop, ma non sono sicuro sia poi effettivamente tale.
Le cuciture, a trama singola con alcuni rinforzi, sono ben realizzate anche se non convincono del tutto.

Sticky reproduces the typical grid of ripstop fabric, but am not sure that is then actually.
The seams are single with some reinforcements, are well done though not entirely convincing.

Il colletto si chiude tramite una zip (della YKK) anche se portarlo completamente chiuso è impossibile, dato che probabilmente le misure sono inesatte, a meno di non avere un collo un po' più lungo del normale...

The collar is closed by a zipper (YKK), although it is impossible to bring it fully closed because the measures are probably incorrect, unless you have a neck a bit longer than normal ...

Ai polsi troviamo una normale chiusura a mezzo velcri, abbastanza plausibile.

Wrists are a normal closed by Velcro, quite plausible.

Sugli omeri, la classica tasca, orientata però di 45 gradi e corredata di chiusura in velcro.

Il velcro è presente anche sulla tasca stessa, per permettere l'applicazione delle classiche patch che non mancano mai nei setup dei giocatori di softair.

All'altezza dei gomiti, vi è la sede per le gomitiere integrate.

L'installazione è abbastanza facile, a patto di capire a cosa serva la fettuccia elastica nera in dotazione. Io ne ho ipotizzato la funzione, non so se è corretta o meno, ma funziona.

Installation is fairly easy, provided you understand what the hell is that black elastic strap provided. I assumed the function, but I do not know if it is correct or not. At now, it works.

Le gomitiere sono realizzate in modo abbastanza buono, salvo il velcro nero applicato con la sola colla, che a distanza di mese dall'acquisto, già tende ad alzarsi.
La base delle protezioni è realizzata in tessuto nero sintentico, internamente poliuretano.
La parte che “sporge” è di plastica rigida, flessibile quanto basta. E' solo un po' troppo lucida.
E' fissata alla base tramite cucitura e velcro. Non si muove.

The elbow pads are made fairly good, except for the black Velcro applied with only glue, that after months of purchase, already tends to rise.
The basis for protection is made of black synthetic fabric, with polyurethane inside.
The part that "sticks" is made of hard plastic, flexible enough. It 's just a bit too shiny.
It's attached to the base by stitching and Velcro. Does not move.


La parte centrale della giacca è in cotone misto sintetico, di colore marroncino, abbastanza simile all'originale.
Teoricamente dovrebbe simulare il tessuto DryFire® e tutto sommato, ci riesce in modo accettabile.
A differenza della parte mimetica, questa è molto confortevole a contatto con la pelle.

The central part of the jacket is made of a synthetic mix fabric, quite similar to the original.
It should theoretically simulate the DryFire® fabric and it works well.
Unlike the camouflage part, it is very comfortable in contact with skin.

In basso a destra è presente un'etichetta di tipo militare, che riporta la taglia, sia per esteso che in formato Nato. E' presente anche un falso numero NSN. Più sotto riporta una definizione del capo, il tessuto (falso) e le istruzioni per il lavaggio.
L'etichetta è marrone, visibilmente diversa dall'originale.

Below at right there is a military label, showing the size, both in extended format than in the NATO one.
It 's also a fake number NSN. Below outlines a definition of the objects, the tissue (false) and the instructions for washing.
The label is brown, noticeably different from the original.

In una tasca ho trovato un quadrato da 2 pollici di velcro femmina, e due striscie da 5 cm sempre in velcro tan, femmina. Non credo servano per le riparazioni, sembrano piuttosto la predisposizione per l'applicazione delle varie tab di origine militare.
Un'aggiunta non necessaria, ma sembre benvenuta!

In one pocket I found a square 2-inch Velcro female, and two strips of Velcro 5cm ever tan, female. I don't think is for repairs, they seem rather the preparation for the implementation of the various military tab.
Unnecessary addition, but it seems welcome!

I pantaloni - The pants

Con i pantaloni di questo completo ci addentriamo nella famosa selva dantesca, con la sua diritta via smarrita.
Si, perchè dopo una giacca tutto sommata realizzata in maniera degna, i produttori si sono persi.
Probabilmente, non è così facile replicare un oggetto complesso come questo.
Si sono persi perchè le taglie sono palesemente sbagliate. Mentre il Medium della giacca è coerente con le effettive misure, la misura dei pantaloni è molto più un Large che un Medium Regular, con il risultato che i pantaloni risultano leggermente più larghi ed è stato necessario modificarli per poterli utilizzare.

The pants are a complete mistake.

I pantaloni riportano in vita una chiusura a mezzo velcro, pratica nell'uso. Al di sotto, una cerniera YKK in tan.

I passanti per la cintura sono larghi ed inferiormente hanno dei passanti più piccoli, ideali per fissare oggetti paracordati riposti nelle tasca, a scongiurarne lo smarrimento.

La vita è sagomata, in modo molto professionale, e posteriormente ha della Lycra® (o un tessuto sintetico simile) elastica, che impedisce ai pantaloni di abbassarsi quando siamo chinati.... il che spesso rivela parti anatomiche non propriamente estetiche...

Non trasmette comunque la sensazione di essere un tessuto resistente, anche se con vegetazione “spinosa” non ha ceduto.

Più sotto troviamo ben due tasche posteriori e due anteriori, di cui la prima è la tasca classica dei pantaloni, ma che contiene al suo interno un cinghietto che regola i pantaloni all'altezza della coscia.

Internamente è cucita la stessa menzognera etichetta presente sulla giacca.

Sotto, troviamo le ginocchiere sagomate integrate, realizzate all'incirca come le gomitiere. Tutto intorno è di nuovo presente il tessuto sintetico elastico, di colorazione Coyote Brown, che serve a mantenere in posizione le ginocchiere.
In più, all'interno, è presente del tessuto spesso, che aderisce al velcro presente sulle ginocchiere ed aiuta a mantenerle fisse in posizione.
Non so se l'idea è copiata anch'essa dall'originale, ma è molto funzionale.

Dietro alle ginocchiere è presente una linguetta di tessuto velcrato che serve a stringere i pantaloni all'altezza delle ginocchia. E' molto utile e funziona bene.

Behind the knee there is a tab of fabric with some velcro, used to tighten the trousers at the knees.
It's very useful and works well.

Più sotto ancora troviamo su entrambe le gambe, una tasca porta serbatoio.
O almeno dovrebbe esserlo.
In realtà non può contenere un caricatore da M4. Questa tasca è una copia di quella che si trova anteriormente, che altrettanto non può contenere serbatoi da M4. In compenso, i .308 calzano abbastanza bene.

Below, on both the legs, there is a pocket for magazine.
At least it should be.
Actually can not contain a M4 magazine. However, the .308 fit quite well.

In fondo, l'ultima regolazione dei pantaloni, alle caviglie.

In conclusione.

Quando ho deciso di acquistare questo completo, ero cosciente di non essere ad un passo dalla scoperta del Santo Graal. Le produzioni cinesi, più o meno, non sono eccelse, a causa di realizzazioni poco curate.
Ma, tutto sommato questo completo non è nemmeno da cestinare.
Il pattern è coerente, non è quella specie di orrore a tinte rosa che si vede ogni tanto in giro.
E le finiture sono abbastanza buone. Certo, con il tempo non escludo che qualche cuciture salterà, ma per la spesa affrontata, è un rischio accettabile.
Se, come me, non amate particolarmente questo tipo di pattern, ma vorreste averne un completo nell'armadio del softair, perchè non si sa mai, allora questa uniforme potrebbe essere una buona scelta.
Se, diversamente, amate questo pattern o non tollerate le repliche, vi consiglio l'originale. Il costo è chiaramente più alto degli 80 dollari più spedizione da me spesi, ma sicuramente non incorrerete in problemi di taglie (se non le sbagliate, come è successo a mie conoscenze) o in particolari da modificare e cucire.

In conclusion.

When I bought this suit, I was conscious of not being a step away from discovering the Holy Grail.
The Chinese production, more or less, are not excellent, because of little accomplishments treated.
But this uniform is not so bad for some reason.
The pattern is consistent, not that kind of pink horror that you see around.
And the finish is fairly good. Sure, time does not exclude that some stitches will jump, but the costs incurred, is an acceptable risk.
If you, like me, do not like this particular type of pattern, but would like to have one set just in case, even then this might be a good choice.
If, otherwise, you love it a loto or do not tolerate replicas, I recommend the original. The cost is clearly higher than the $80 plus shipping I spent, but certainly you not find problems with sizes or in particular to change, and sewing.

PRO: buona realizzazione, pattern accettabile.
CONTRO: taglie non conformi, dettagli migliorabili.

PRO: good construction, pattern acceptable.
AGAINST: sizes do not meet, poor detail.
