Sono trascorsi ormai 25 anni dal debutto della pistola automatica Beretta modello 92; ed in questo lasso di tempo l’arma ha conosciuto una costante evoluzione, contrassegnata da una serie di denominazioni e sigle, che permettono di identificarne le caratteristiche principali. 25 years have passed since the debut of the automatic pistol Beretta Model 92, and during this time the weapon has evolved steadily, marked by a series of names and acronyms, to identify its main features.

AirsoftCommunity intende ricordare questo anniversario di una fra le real steel più amate dai softgunners e dagli appassionati di airsoftguns, con una serie di recensioni e testi dedicati all’arma italiana più conosciuta e diffusa nel mondo.
La Società Beretta cominciò la produzione di armi militari e da difesa nel corso della prima guerra mondiale. Nel settore delle pistole semiautomatiche sviluppò una serie di armi a chiusura labile, destinate all’impiego di munizioni di potenza intermedia, come il 7.65 Browning.
Il percorso di sviluppo di tali armi portò al primo grande successo della società, con i modelli 1934 (cal. 9 corto) e 1935 (cal. 7,65 Browning), adottati dalle forze armate e di polizia italiane, e destinati a rimanervi in servizio per oltre mezzo secolo. Si trattava di armi compatte, con meccanica a singola azione, e che alla prova dei fatti si rivelarono affidabili ed efficienti, nei limiti del calibro, ancorché improntate a criteri di economia.
Dopo la seconda guerra mondiale, la casa bresciana si indirizzò alla creazione di un’arma di grosso calibro. Ne derivò il modello 1951, in calibro 9 x 19 mm, che, pur non trovando grandi consensi in Italia, conobbe un certo successo nell’esportazione, specie verso i mercati medio orientali.
La 1951 utilizzava meccanica a singola azione, aveva caricatore monofilare, e meccanismo di chiusura a blocco oscillante di derivazione Walther.
La Beretta proseguì nel percorso progettuale, e negli anni ’70 del secolo scorso, momento cruciale per l’evoluzione delle armi da pugno, presentò la sua “wonder nine”: il modello 92.
L’evoluzione di quest’arma so si è di fatto mai arrestata, sino a giungere all’attuale versione 90two, che unisce gli elementi tecnici della 92 ad una rivoluzionaria ricerca stilistica, che sfocerà nella collaborazione di Giorgio Giugiaro alla progettazione della PX4.
AirsoftCommunity will commemorate this anniversary of one amid the most popular real steel within softgunners and airsoftguns enthusiasts, with a series of reviews and texts about the most famous and spread throughout the world Italian weapon. The Beretta company began production of military and defense weapons during the First World War. In the semi-automatic pistols area it developed a series of blowback operated weapons, intended for the use of intermediate power ammunition, such as the 7.65 Browning. The development path of these weapons led to the first great success of the company, with the models 1934 (Cal. 9 short) and 1935 (cal. 7.65 Browning), adopted by the Italian police and armed forces, and intended to remain in service for more than half a century. These weapons are compact, single action, and that the proof of the facts proved reliable and efficient, as far as ammunition allowed, although produced mindina a criteria of economy. After the Second World War, the Brescia factory it was directed to the creation of a large-caliber handgun. The result it was the Model 1951, caliber 9 x 19 mm, which, while not a big success in Italy, it met some interest in exporting, particularly toward the Middle Eastern markets. The 1951 it was a single action, single stacked pistol, using a locking block mechanism mutuated by Walther guns. The Beretta continued into the design process, and in the 70s of last century, a crucial moment in the evolution of hand weapons, it presented its "wonder nine" model 92. The development of this weapon it was in fact never stopped, until reaching the current 90two version, in wich are combining the technical elements of a 1992 with a revolutionary design research that will lead to the collaboration of Giorgio Giugiaro in designing the PX4.

5000 esemplari prodotti nel 1975 – 76; sicura sul fianco sinistro del fusto, e fermo del caricatore a pulsante alla base dell’impugnatura. Il primo reparto militare ad esserne dotato è il Comando Subacquei Incursori della Marina Militare Italiana.
92S (sicura) - 1976 La sicura assume anche la funzione di abbattimento del cane, ed è spostata sul fianco sinistro del carrello.
92SB COMPACT - 1981
Versione compatta della SB, lunga 197 mm e con caricatore bifilare capace di 13 colpi; la SB può utilizzare comunque anche il caricatore standard da 15 colpi

92G (GENDARMERIE) - 1989 Versione della 92F realizzata per la Gendarmerie francese, in cui la leva di sicura mantiene la sola funzione di abbattimento del cane. Prodotta anche dalla GIAT francese, assume la designazione di PA MAS G1. 92F version made for the French Gendarmerie, in which the safe lever keeps the sole function of decocking. Also produced by the French GIAT, it tooks the designation PA MAS G1. 92FS (FULL SECURITY) - 1989 A seguito del verificarsi durante il tiro di alcune rotture del carrello, la cui parte posteriore colpì l’utilizzatore, fu introdotta una modifica, consistente nell’allargare la base del fermo del percussore, che, nel caso di una simile avaria, impediva la proiezione del frammento. After the occurrence of some slide breaks during shooting, in which the rear fragment struck the shooter, an amendment it was introduced, consisting in enlarging the base of the firing pin, which, in the event of such failure, prevented the fragment to be projected.
