Con questa recensione vediamo un'altra tipologia di Chest Rig, un ibrido in MOLLE con tasche fisse per serbatoi Colt.

La Spec.-Ops.® Brand comincia le proprie attività nel 2000, per volontà di due ex impiegati della Camelback ®, Jeff Wemmer e Bryan Heflin, che riconobbero negli equipaggiamenti militari a prezzi "popolari" una significante opportunità di mercato.
Dal loro punto di vista, I soldati sprecavano un sacco di tempo per sistemare il proprio, scadente, equipaggiamento.
La “Visione” di questi due uomini consiste nello sviluppare e fornire i militari USA di materiale a prezzi accessibili mantenendo alta la qualità costruttiva, ottimizzando le risorse personali dei militari.

Con il termine MOUT si indicano le manovre militari in ambito urbano, ovvero l'attuale e futuro scenario di combattimento per Asia ed Europa.
Con buona pace di Sun Tzu, che giudicava come fallimentari le tattiche che comprendevano il combattimento in ambienti simili.
Le Operazioni Urbane sono considerate le più pericolose per tutta una serie di motivi: presenza di civili, presenza di ostili mescolati alla popolazione (forze irregolari), scarsa capacità di manovra per i mezzi protetti, distanze di ingaggio brevi, impossibilità di utilizzare armi ad
alta capacità offensiva come l’artiglieria e non ultimo, la necessità di fare operare unità numericamente ristrette, di modo da essere snelli, veloci ed efficienti.
Come il gibernaggio recensito: piccolo, essenziale e efficiente.

Questo prodotto è stato acquistato usato, tramite eBay, da un militare delle forze armate americane al termine di un suo turno di servizio in medio oriente. La quantità di sporcizia accumulata nelle tasche sembrerebbe confermare la versione.
Il motivo della vendita si attribuisce alla colorazione “errata” , in quanto una circolare scoraggerebbe l’utilizzo di equipaggiamenti di pattern diverso dall’ACU.

This chest rig has been purchased through ebay, from a U.S. military after his tour of duty in the Middle East.
The amount of dirt accumulated in the vest seems to confirm this.
The reason of the sale was declared to be the color: a circular prohibits the U.S. military to use tactical gear in a different colors than those in ACU. Strange, because the photos on the net do not seem to confirm this kind of ban.

A prima vista, non sembrerebbe nemmeno di avere un tattico tra le mani, è grande poco più di una tasca da 200 colpi per M249 e molto più sottile.
Nonostante sia stato usato per diverso tempo in zona operativa, è in perfette condizioni.
Le tasche sono doppie e permettono di alloggiare, in totale, 8 serbatoi da 30 colpi in 5,56 x 45 mm, con una chiusura superiore detta “CQB”, realizzata con un automatico in metallo ed
una fettuccia di cordura elastica da 2.5 cm.
Questa chiusura permette di accedere ai serbatoi di riserva con una velocità impressionante.
Le cuciture sono molto ben realizzate e robuste.

Purtroppo, questo tattico non può essere utilizzato con serbatoi dotati di estrattore Magpull, questo si direbbe dovuto alla scarsa popolarità di tale accessorio tra i soldati americani.

Durante la prova, sia l'estrazione che l'inserimento dei caricatori risultano immediati, il peso di questi ultimi fà si che le tasche si "aprano" non appena si sgancia l'automatico in metallo.

Lateralmente e superiormente, trovano posto 4 Fastex (purtroppo non ITW NEXUS) che permettono di staccare molto velocemente il chest dalla sua particolare imbragatura, triangolare con base in fettuccia elastica da 5 cm, molto comoda.

Nonostante il peso anteriore, il chest rig risulta comodo, anche se trovare la regolazione ottimale potrebbe portare via più tempo di quanto si creda.
Diversamente da quanto previsto, non ho trovato il modo di agganciare un cinturone ai due occhielli designati, mantenendo allo stesso tempo bilanciato il gibernaggio.

Despite the front weight, the chest rig is comfy, but finding the optimum setting would take away more time than you think. Contrary as to expected, I have not found a way to hook a belt with the two loops, while maintaining balanced the chest rig.

Credo sia un problema di costituzione fisica, dato che il chest rig è stato studiato per essere indossato al di sopra di un Plate Carrier.
Anche se coperto integralmente di pals, sconsiglio fortemente di agganciare ulteriori tasche anteriormente, 8 serbatoi sviluppano un peso ragguardevole e durante le prove ho appurato che quello del Chest Rig è un equilibrio precario; indi per cui, destinerei ai pals solamente il compito di alloggiare Cyalume, torce a led o al limite una tasca Admin, ma null'altro.

Probably is a matter of physique and the chest rig should be worn over a body armor.
Although is covered in Molle pals, I strongly advise against attaching additional front pockets.
Eight magazine developed a considerable weight and during the test I found that on this chest is a precarious balance.
So, is better to use most of the pals to storage Cyalume stick, Flashlight or stuff like admin pouch or pistol mag, but nothing else, or the chest will fall forward.

This chest is made also in ACU, Black, Olive Drab and Coyote Brown. The price is like 100$ plus shipping.

Come concludere? Personalmente amo molto i chest rig, un po’ per costituzione fisica, un po’ per la tipologia di gioco che prediligo, combat veloci e scontri “ludicamente” impegnativi. Chiaramente, così com’è il chest è insufficiente per ogni tipo di combat superiore alle 3 ore, ma con un cinturone e qualche tasca, diventa un’ottima base per qualsiasi tipo di approccio al softair.

Personally, I really like chest rig, because it reflects my type of game: fast, uncomplicated and easy. This chest rig, alone, is insufficient in any game more than 3 hours, but with a belt and some pocket is a great complement for each setup.

VALUTAZIONI FINALI
PRO: Comodo, solido, capacità di carico alta circa il munizionamento disponibile e la sua rapidità di utilizzo, buona l'imbragatura (anche se copiata dai vecchi chest rig russi).
CONTRO: poco utile se usato senza un primo livello, adatto solo a serbatoi Colt senza Magpull, prodotto costoso vista la tipologia e non in linea con “l’immagine” aziendale.

FINAL EVALUTATION
VALUE UP: Comfy, sturdy, High magazine capability, nice harness (remember to me the old russian chest rig harness)
VALUE DOWN: helpful without a first level, only suitable for Colt magazine (without Magpul), expensive product.
