Useless in the common game of airsoft but with and high visual impact in the reenactment or real-simulation, let's go to analyze the Black LowVis Body Armor by Toy Soldier.

 E' ormai un dato scontato che un gran numero di softgunner rincorrano gli equipaggiamenti militari visti nelle varie foto sul web. Questa corsa all'approvvigionamento ha visto in questi ultimi anni una riserva inesauribile nei molti negozi e produttori orientali che, con velocità fulminea, ripropongono sul mercato i più moderni equipaggiamenti ed accessori in dotazione alle special forces di mezzo mondo.

In questo vasto panorama, però, non tutti i produttori risultano avere la stessa qualità di prodotti e molte volte le copie risultano al limite dell'indossabile od utilizzabile per colpa di grossolani errori di cucitura, materiali utilizzati, ecc.

Non si può certo dire che quest'ultimo sia il caso della Toy Soldier che ci ha fornito questo Black LowVis Body Armor replica, un "PACA" molto comune, quasi"classico", tra le special forces (soprattutto tra i Seals che lo indossano in numerose foto sul web) ma anche tra gli agenti di polizia americani.

 Now it's take for granted that a lot of airsoft players run back to the newest military equipment seen on web pictures. This run to the equipments have a good help from the eastern  producers and shops that are very fast into create the replicas of the most modern special forces equipments and accessories.

In this kind of view not all the producers have the same quality in their products and many times the copies are not usable due the poor seams, materials used and more.

That is not the case of the Toy Soldier that supplied this Black LowVis Body Armour replica, a very common "PACA", almost "classical", used by many special forces (you can see a lot of pictures about Seals wearing this kind of body armour) and by law enforcement operators.

 Questa replica di corpetto antiproiettile è composto da due parti, una anteriore ed una posteriore, unite da fettucce velcrate che hanno anche la funzione di regolare la vestibilità.

 This body armour replica is composed by two parts (front and back) attached by two bands with hook-and-loop that allow to adjust it on your body.

 Le due parti sono due porta-piastre con l'esterno in tessuto e l'interno in rete traspirante. L'inserimento delle piastre interne è semplice e comodo e si effettua tramite due grosse aperture interne con chiusura a Velcro.

 The two parts are two plate-carriers with the external side made of tissue and the internal one made of breathable net. To insert the plates is very easy thank to the big internal openings with hook-and-loop closures. 

 Le due finte imbottiture balistiche, ben riprodotte, sono in materiale morbido ed hanno, in questo caso, la funzione di imbottire ed irrigidire la struttura, donando al PACA un aspetto rigido e resistente. 

 The fake balistic clothes are well done and are soft. They have to fill the body armour and stiffen the structure, given to the PACA a stiff and resistant aspect. 

 All'interno delle due tasche porta imbottiture balistiche sono presenti due ulteriori spazi elasticizzati per l'inserimento di piastre balistiche aggiuntive nella zona dello sterno e posteriormente alla stessa altezza.

Essendo delle repliche non vedo alcuna funzione utile per questi ulteriori sistemi di ritenzione per piastre supplementari ma è da sottolineare la cura dei particolari della ToySoldier nella riproduzione dell'originale.

 In the two parts of the PACA there are two pouches (one for each side) for additional balistic plates for sternum and back zones.

Being a replica I can't see a real use for those pouches but I would like to underline the Toy Soldier attention for particulars. 

 Le rifiniture sono di alto livello, così come le cuciture. Interessanti anche le etichette interne che non copiano qualche etichetta reale ma forniscono reali indicazioni sulla marca e sulle caratteristiche.

 The finishes are well done, as the seams. The labels are interesting because they aren't a copy but real labels with brands, istructions, features and more.

 Il Black LowVis Body Armour viene venduto in due taglie, Medium e Large ed è regolabile, sia in altezza che larghezza, tramite fettucce velcrate. Il Velcro utilizzato è del tipo ad alta tenuta (l'esemplare di questa recensione è una taglia Medium).

La regolazione dell'altezza avviene impostando il punto di aggancio anteriore dei due spallacci. I due spallacci si agganciano alla grossa superficie velcrata dove è anche possibile apporre una patch di dimensioni considerevoli, come è possibile vedere in alcune foto di questa recensione.

La larghezza si regola fissando le 4 fasce elastiche (con estremità velcrate), 2 per parte, posteriormente e, una volta indossato il PACA, anteriormente sulla grossa fascia velcrata addominale.

Il PACA è realmente una taglia unica idoneo a vestire le taglie più diverse.

 The Black LowVis Body Armour is sold in a two sizes, Medium and Large and you can adjust it in height and width throught hook-and-loop bands. The Velcro straps are very strong (this one is a Medium size).

You can adjust th eheight setting the front attaching points of the shoulder pads. The two bands will attach on the big hook-and-loop sternum zone where you can put your big size patches, as you can see in some pictures here.

You can also adjust the width adjusting the 4 bands (2 for each side): you will have to attach them on the back and after adjusting on the front.7

The PACA can fit all the sizes.

 Ma, come accennato precedentemente, questo body armour non viene impiegato unicamente sopra o sotto i vestiti ma anche sotto vest tattici e ne mostriamo un esempio nelle immagini sottostanti.

 But, as I said before, this body armour could be used not only under or over the clothes but also under tactical vests as you can see in the pictures below.

 Conclusioni

E' difficile dare un parere di utilizzo di un oggetto come questo, dedicato squisitamente a soddisfare un'esigenza estetica.

L'indossare questo PACA è comodo e senza punto di frizione o pressione, grazie anche alle imbottiture incluse. Le cuciture e le rifiniture sono veramente ben fatte e resistenti.

Reputo questo articolo dedicato ad un softgunner esigente sotto il profilo del realismo e dell'attinenza e completezza degli equipaggimenti e non ad un softgunner interessato unicamente al gioco.

Il costo di questo giubbetto antiproiettile replica è di 55$ e ci è stato fornito dalla Toy Soldier alla quale vanno i nostri ringraziamenti.

 Conclusions

It's so hard to give you some results of the test on field for an equipment like this because it's dedicated only to the aestetic satisfaction.

To wear this PACA is comfortable, without friction or preassure points, also thank to the internal pads included. The seams and the finishes are well done and resistant.

I think this article is dedicated to a discerning player for realism, nearness and completeness of real equipments and not for players interested only into a Sunday game.
