Una tipologia d’intervento reale molto apprezzata e imitata dai softgunners è la Direct Action (DA) che si avvale di equipaggiamenti ridotti in volume, con predilezione per il carico di fuoco trasportabile piuttosto che per i viveri e attrezzature.
A questo scopo sono stati ideati i Chest Rig che hanno grande capacità di trasporto di caricatori e, in questo caso, la possibilità di trasportare una piastra balistica anteriore.

Il Chest Rig oggetto di questa recensione è il Molle Chest Rig della T&T  (Tactical&Technology) in colorazione Desert Tan.

A very appreciated and imitated (by airsoft players) kind of real operation is the Direct Action (DA) that needs small equipments with predilection to ammo carring instead food and tactical tools. 

For this reason were born the Chest Rigs able to carry a lot of ammunition and, as in this case, a frontal balistic plate (fake here).

The Chest Rig of this review is the Molle Chest Rig by T&T (Tactical&Technology) in desert tan colour.

 Questo Chest Rig (in seguito CR) fa parte della linea economica della T&T per i softgunners e il suo nome per esteso è Molle Chest Rig.

Non si capisce il motivo della scelta di questo nome visto che si non si tratta di un modulare completo; infatti, l’unica tasca sostituibile, è la doppia porta caricatori sinistra che nasconde un pannello Molle con 3 file di Pals.

Nient’altro del tattico è modulare e l’unica sezione implementabile è l’esterno della utility, dotato anch’esso di 3 file di pals.

Il sistema adottato per gli spallacci è il classico X-harness che prevede l’incrocio degli stessi sulla schiena, ognuno dotato di D-ring sulla parte anteriore per assicurare oggetti al tattico o bloccare il tubo della sacca d’idratazione.
Gli spallacci risultano scomodi sulla lunga distanza, a pieno carico e senza le imbottiture in dotazione, a causa della ridotta base d’appoggio e dei margini netti, in standard con tutti i chest rig, anche di marche blasonate.

E’ presente inoltre una cintura lombare di chiusura, dotata di un fastex per lato, particolare questo che aumenta di molto la comodità di utilizzo della stessa.

I Fastex non presentano “marchi” ma nell’utilizzo comune risultano efficaci e resistenti.

 This Chest Rig (CR in future) is part of the economic line by T&T dedicated to the airsoft players and its complete name is Molle Chest Rig.

We can't understand why T&T decided to use that name because it is not a total modular gear: the only pouch you can chage us the left double mag-pouch on a little Molle panel of 3 rows of Pals.

Nothing else of this chest rig is modular and the only section upgradeable is the front side of the utility pouch that has 3 pals rows.

The engage system of the shoulders is the classic X-harness that has a cross on the back. Every one has 2 D-rings.

The shoulders are not comfortable for lont term use, full loaded, without the pad because they have a small fulcrum and “sharp” border, in any case in standard with all the other chest rigs, even by high quality brands.

There is also a lumbar belt with a Fastex each side (this is usefull to have).

The Fastexes have no brand marks but in the use they are effective and resistant.

 Non ci è dato sapere nello specifico il materiale utilizzato per la sua costruzione ma, visti i confronti con altri tattici di materiali conosciuti e visto anche la fascia di costo in cui si colloca, non propendiamo per materiali altamente tecnici, quali la Cordura.
I materiali però non presentano imperfezioni e il nylon utilizzato, così come il filo per le cuciture, appare di consistenza adeguata all’uso richiesto.

La parte inferiore del frontale del CR può essere considerato come suddiviso in 3 moduli:

 We can't to know the material used to produce this chest rig but, seen other gears we know what material they're made of and the price of this chest rig, we don't think it is made in high quality materials like Cordura.

There are not imperfections and the nylon and the sewing thread are good.

The lower of the front side could be subdivided in 3 parts: 

 A sinistra, nella foto sopra, troviamo il primo modulo che consiste in una Utility di dimensioni 16H x 15L x 7P (cm.), non asportabile.
All’interno è presente un sottile vano nella parte anteriore (chiuso parzialmente col velcro), mentre in quella posteriore sono presenti 4 ritenzioni verticali in elastico divisi in due file.
Non essendo una medic-pouch pura ma una utility, durante i nostri test abbiamo rilevato la poca fruibilità di queste ritenzioni in elastico e avremmo preferito fossero disposte in vertical per un’estrazione rapida degli oggetti più comuni come un multi-tools.

Nella posizione orizzontale (di fabbrica), queste ritenzioni possono essere sfruttate al meglio utilizzando la tasca come first-aid pouch per riporre compresse di garze, cannule orofaringee ecc.

 On the right (pic.1) we can find the first module that is an Utility pouch with dimensions 16H x 15L x 7P (cm.), fixed.

In that pouch there's a thin part in the front part (partially closed by hook-and-loop), while in the back part there are 4 elastic vertical retentions in two rows.

It's not a medic-pouch but an utility one so, during our tests, we have found that horizontal retentions are not so useful like they were if vertical and you can quickly extract items from inside.

With retensions in vertical position, you should best use this pouch as a medic one where you can store gauzes, oropharyngeal cannulas etc.

 Centralmente troviamo due tasche portacaricatori, anch’esse cuciti sulla base, in grado di alloggiare 2 caricatori Colt 5,56 cadauna o 1 solo caricatore in 7,62.
Tutte le tasche sono dotate di un elastico di ritenzione dei caricatori per l’utilizzo delle tasche aperte per l’estrazione rapida.
La patella di chiusura è largamente regolabile in altezza tramite velcro, per adattarsi ai vari modelli di caricatori.

Le tasche sono ben realizzate, rifinite e ben cucite, cosa che non ci saremmo aspettati su un CR di questo tipo.

 In the middle there are two fix mag-pouches that can store 2 Colt mags or one in cal. 7,62 mag.

All the pouches have an elastic retention for the mags so you can use the pouches without the flap for rapid extraction.

You can adjust the flap covers using their hook-and-look to store different types of mags.

The pouches are well done with good finishes and seams.

 Il terzo modulo, all’estrema destra in foto, è composto da un pannello Molle di 3 file di pals in altezza e 4 in larghezza.
Sul pannello può essere agganciata la doppia tasca porta caricatori in dotazione, del tutto uguale al modulo centrale, portando così la capienza a 8 caricatori Colt.
Durante le prove abbiamo accusato la mancanza di una tasca per la radio. Al suo posto è stata utilizzata una tasca porta caricatori ma il risultato non si può considerare soddisfacente.

Il retro del CR si presenta con una base a rete per la traspirazione e con la tasca per la finta piastra balistica in materiale morbido.
La tasca porta piastra occupa tutta l’altezza disponibile, è chiusa con sistema a velcro ed è dotata di anelli per lo scolo dell’acqua.

 The third module, at left in the picture, is a Molle panel with 3 Pals rows and 4 Pals lines in width.

You can use it to fix the double mag-pouch supplied (the same of the fixed double mag-pouch) so you will be able to carry 8 Colt mags.

During our tests we missed a radio pouch. In its place T&T has decided to place a pistol mag-pouch but we are not satisfied about that.

The CR back is net made for transpiration and has the pouch for the SAPI plate replica (soft) supplied.

The SAPI plate pouch uses all the height of the CR, is hook-and-look closed and has metal holes for the water draining.

 On the back there are two labels: the first shows “T&T” brand and the second “made in china”.

 La parte superiore del CR presenta un grosso pannello in velcro femmina di dimensioni 13H x 15L (cm.) e 2 porta caricatori per pistola regolabili in altezza, esatte copie in piccolo delle sottostanti mag-pouch.

 The upper side of the CR has a big hook-and-loop female panel with dimensions 13H x 15L (cm.) and 2 pistol mag pouches you can adjust in height.

 Conclusioni:

Si tratta di un tattico “entry level” dal basso costo.
Permette di iniziare a giocare sin da subito, spendendo poco, con un equipaggiamento realistico anche se poco “settato” sulle esigenze del softgunner.
Si accusa infatti l’assenza del porta radio e l’impossibilità di rimuovere e sostituire le tasche, soprattutto le pistol-mag (difficilmente un giocatore porterà con sé 2 caricatori extra per la pistola).
La capienza della utility è più che sufficiente, mentre il numero di caricatori trasportabili è sicuramente eccessivo per un softgunner medio o per giocate di routine.
E’ possibile (e consigliato) sostituire la mag-pouch molle con una tasca porta-radio e una roly-poly.
Il materiale utilizzato (sicuramente non Cordura ma comune Nylon) è adatto e sufficiente allo scopo, così come le cuciture che si sono dimostrate precise, “corpose” e in vari punti, doppie.
Indossato è molto confortevole e stabile, grazie anche alle imbottiture di serie per gli spallacci; unico neo di questa tipologia di equipaggiamento è la ridotta traspirabilità sulla parte anteriore (dato che dietro è completamente aperto).
I velcri sono di buona qualità, con una discreta forza di ritenzione.
In definitiva si tratta di un buon Chest Rig per chi si voglia avvicinare al gioco del softair ma anche per il giocatore “esperto” che voglia, per le giocate domenicali, un ChestRig leggero, economico e poco impegnativo.
Il prodotto è stato fornito da AlphaArms e il suo costo, al momento in cui scriviamo, è di 70€ più spese di spedizione.

 Conclusions:

This is an entry level chest rig with a low price.

It allows to start with Airsoft with a low budget but with a realistic gear even if not completely setted for airsoft players needes.

You will fell the absence of the radio pouch and the impossibility of removing and replacing the pouches (especially the 2 pistol mag pouches).

The utility capacity is enough while the number of mags you can carry could be too high for a beginner or for common games.

You can replace (and we suggest to do it) the mag-pouch with a radio pouch and/or a roly-poly.

The CR is not made of Cordura but of Nylon and it's good enough for its work, so the seams that are accurate, strong and double in many points.

It is comfortable and stable to wear, thank also to the shoulder pads. The only flaw of this kind of gear is the non transpiration of the front part (while in the back is completely opened).

The hook-and-loop quality is good and has a good retention strength.

In the end we can say that this is a good Chest Rig for who wants to start with airsoft but also for the veteran of airsoft who wants a light, economic and undemanding Chest Rig for the usual Sunday games.

This gear has been supplied by AlphaArms and it costs 70€ at this moment.
