La sperimentazione e la ricerca in ambito militare da sempre superano grandemente quelle di tutti gli altri ambiti civili ed ogni giorno innovazioni tecnologiche e nuovi equipaggiamenti si affacciano sul mercato.

Nell'ottica del continuo miglioramento nasce, quindi, la nuova COMBAT UNIFORM del neonato marchio The Warrior Spirit.

Military testing and research always overcome the civilian ones and every day new equipments come on sell.

In the way of a continuous improvement has been studied the COMBAT UNIFORM by the new brand The Warrior Spirit.

 Caratteristiche tecniche.

Questa futuristica uniform si presenta come uno spezzato giacca-pantalone.
I materiali scelti per la realizzazione sono un misto Cotone/Nylon rispettivamente al 65% e al 35% che vanno a formare una trama Rip-Stop in grado di evitare la progressione e allargamento di eventuali strappi sul tessuto stesso.
Il peso della mimetica completa è in linea con le comuni mimetiche e viene prodotta solo in misure Regular (Short-Medium-Large e XLarge).
Le colorazioni disponibili sono attualmente il Vegetato (oggetto di questa recensione), il CadPat, il MarPat, il Multicam, il Woodland, il verde OD e il nero.
 

Come già accennato la mimetica è composta da due pezzi, giacca e pantalone, che analizzeremo separatamente.

 Features.

This futuristic uniform is composed by jacket and pants.

The materials used are Cotton/Nylon in 65%/35% in a Rip-Stop texture that can stop the progression of a rip.

The weight is in standard with the common uniforms and it's produced only in Regular sizes (Short-Medium-Large and XLarge).

The uniform is available in Vegetato, CadPat, MarPat, Multicam, Woodland, OD and black.

As we said the uniform is composed by two pieces: jacket and pants we will analyze separately.

 La mimetica: pantaloni

I pantaloni sono prodotti completamente in trama Rip-Stop e hanno una forma più “ergonomica” rispetto al classico taglio delle mimetiche, in modo da modellarsi maggiormente sulle forme del corpo e seguire efficacemente i movimenti.
 

Sono state mantenute le classiche tasche da pantalone da uomo, quindi hanno 2 tasche laterali e 2 tasche posteriori, queste ultime chiuse con due grossi bottoni cadauna.

 The uniform: pants

The pants are made in Rip-Stop texture and have a more ergonomic shape than the classical uniform so they can fit better and follow your movements.

There are the two common waist pockets and the back pockets, these closed by two big buttons each one.

 Proseguendo nel settore tasche, scendiamo verso il basso e troviamo due tasche tattiche porta-caricatori, poste subito al di sotto della cintura, anteriormente sulla parte alta delle cosce.

Queste tasche sono dotate di doppia chiusura Velcro-Fastex e permettono l'inserimento di un caricatore 5.56 sia da 300 che da 450 BB.

 Going on about the pockets, going to the lower side we can find two tactical mag pouches, placed a little under the belt on the front side of the thigh.

These pouches have a double closure Velcro-Fastex and can store one 300bb or 450bb Colt mag.

    

  

 Ed è proprio nella cucitura del Fastex alla sua fettuccia abbiamo riscontrato un piccolo difetto di “sfilacciamento” che si è evidenziato dopo un paio di utilizzi e che si può notare nella foto sottostante.

 

 Using the pants, we have found that the Fastex seam has a little defect: the nylon strap is not well finished as you can see below.

 

 

 Queste tasche si presentano solide e ben cucite alla struttura di base, anche se, per il reale utilizzo, reputiamo siano maggiormente utili per cellulari e chiavi della macchina (che sono i tipici oggetti da riporre in tasche sicure durante le giocate domenicali) piuttosto che per il trasporto di caricatori, che reputeremmo un eccesso.

Scendendo ancora, questa volta sul fianco, troviamo due voluminosi tasconi lateriali.
Questi sono realmente molto capienti e si allargano nella parte posteriore, dove possono anche essere regolati in apertura per mezzo di una clip scorrevole su bungee-cord.  La Bunge-cord utilizzata però,risulta di diametro insufficiente per la funzione da svolgere e non in linea con i buoni standard di materiali utilizzati.
La chiusura della tasca è affidata a due pezzi di velcro distanziati tra loro e all'interno della tasca stessa è presente una tasca più piccola aperta superiormente.

 These pockets are well done with good seams even if we think these could be better used as key or mobile phone pouches instead as mag-pouches.

More lower there are two big cargo pocket on the thighs sides.

These are very roomy and you can adjust them using a bungee-cord with moving clip. This bungee cord is too thin for this use and not in standard with the good quality level of the rest of the uniform.

The cargo pouches closure is made by two hook-and-loop pieces. Inside each cargo there is a little pocket opened in the upper side.

 Sulla gamba, lateralmente alle ginocchiere, troviamo infine le ultime due tasche dei pantaloni.
Queste hanno la stessa forma delle tasche porta-caricatori superiori ma sono dotate di chiusura esclusivamente a Velcro.
Le dimensioni sono sovrapponibili a quelle delle tasche superiori porta-caricatori e presentano un soffietto nella parte posteriore (come nei tasconi laterali) che ne aumenta il volume.
La reale utilità di queste tasche è opinabile.

 On the trouser parts under the knees we can find the last two pocket.

These have the same shape of the waist mag-pouches but are closed only by hook-and-loop and have an accordion on the back side to increase the capacity.

We think these pockets are not so useful.

 

 La chiusura in vita di questi pantaloni è affidata a grossi bottoni facilmente manipolabili anche con i guanti e da una grossa fettuccia “coulisse” di regolazione interna che permette di portare i pantaloni anche senza cintura e di regolare una taglia Large su una Media piena (come nella nostra prova). 

 The waist closuse is made by two big buttons you can easily handle also fitting gloves and by a big strap to adjust the size. Through this strap you can adjust a Large size pants to fit on a Medium sized body (as in this test).

 L'utilizzo di una rigger-belt o di una duty-belt è possibile grazie ai generosi passanti di 7cm di altezza utile per la cintura (doppi nella parte anteriore) di cui sono dotati questi pantaloni.

 You can use a rigger or duty belt thank to the big loops 7cm. high (double in the front side of the trousers).

 A destra, subito sopra la tasca porta-caricatori, è stato inserito un D-Ring in plastica in continuità con un passante per la cintura.
La posizione risulta ottimale per l'aggancio di un moschettone o per assicurare altri oggetti che verranno poi custoditi all'interno della tasca porta-caricatori sottostante.
 

Punto forte di questi pantaloni sono però le ginocchiere incorporate.

 At the right side, over the mag-pouches, there's a plastic D-Ring attached to a belt loop.

This position is very good to attach to it a grimlock to fix little items you will store in the mag-pouches.

But the best feature of these trousers are the built-in knee-pads. 

 Queste ginocchiere sono composte da una parte esterna, a forma di triangolo rovesciato, in dura gomma verde dotata di tacchetti antiscivolo e di una parte interna di materiale morbido (ma corposo) simile alla gommapiuma, atta ad accogliere le ginocchia del giocatore.
 

L'inserimento e la rimozione delle ginocchiere è estremamente rapido ed intuitivo: la ginocchiera è infatti incastrata nella sua tasca nella parte superiore e poi bloccata nella parte inferiore con una chiusura a velcro.

 The knee caps have an external side made by hard green rubber with gripping inserts and by an internal one made by soft material similar to the foam rubber in contact with the user knees.

To insert and remove the knee caps is very easy and quick: the knee cap is locked in the upper side of its pouch and you have to close through hook-and-loop system the lower side. 

 

 Le ginocchiere si sono rivelate realmente molto stabili e costanti nella loro azione in tutte le situazioni di gioco, complici anche le cinghie di regolazione posteriori che adattano la ginocchiera alla gamba del giocatore e permettono un utilizzo delle stesse senza incertezze.

 the knee caps are very stable in all the game actions, thank also to the adjusting straps on the back of the knee.

 Sulla parte posteriore dei pantaloni, è stato apposto un grosso rinforzo in Cordura 1000 denari contro le abrasioni che si possono procurare sedendosi a terra, come spesso accade durante i giochi e le gare.

 On the trousers back side there's a big Cordura 1000d reinforcing layer against abrasion you can made sitting down on the ground, as he airsoft players often do during the games.  

 

 Infine, nella parte più bassa dei pantaloni, troviamo il sistema di chiusura dei pantaloni sugli anfibi.

Questa presenta una parte interna elasticizzata e rinforzata con Cordura 1000 denari per contrastare l'attrito con gli anfibi e una parte esterna formata da un laccio regolabile tramite velcro.

 In the end, in the lower side on the trousers we can find the closure system on the boots.

This closure has an internal elastic side reinforced with Cordura 1000D to contrast the friction with boots and an external side made by a hook-and-loop adjustable strap.

 La mimetica: giacca

La giacca è strutturata in due distinte parti: la parte centrale (petto e schiena) in tessuto traspirante ed elasticizzato e la parte delle maniche in cotone/nylon (in rapporto 65%-35%).

 The uniform: jacket

The jacket is made by two different parts: the middle part (chest and back) is made of breathable and elastic material and the sleeves are made of cotton/nylon (65%-35%)

 La giacca è dotata di due tasche omerali, cucite in posizione obliqua e ricoperte da un pannello in velcro per le patch e ID.

Le tasche risultano molto capienti e hanno due scomparti interni, entrambi chiusi dalla pattina superiore.

 The jacket has two upper arm pockets, obliquely sewn and covered by a Velcro panel for ID Patches.

The pockets are very roomy and have two internal zones, closed by the upper flap.

 Le maniche sono tagliate obliquamente con la parte lunga a coprire il dorso della mano e inoltre sono regolabili tramite fettuccia velcrata.

 The sleeves are obliquely cutted in the end with the longest part covering the back of the hand. The cuffs are adjustable trought a strap.

 

 Punto cardine di questa giacca sono le gomitiere integrate, come nei pantaloni.

 The hot point of this jacket are the built-in elbow protections, as in the pants. 

 Anche queste risultano costituite da una parte esterna in gomma dura e una parte morbida a contatto con i gomiti.
Sfortunatamente rimuovere e riposizionare le gomitiere non è così semplice come nei pantaloni.
Per inserirle/rimuoverle bisogna rivoltare la manica, svincolare la parte esterna in gomma e poi è necessario staccare i due velcri che tengono la gomitiera ferma in posizione.

A questo punto e possibile svincolare la gomitiera dalla propria sede ed estrarla.

 Also these elbow protections are made by two parts: the external one is made of hard rubber and the internal one of soft material.

Unlukily to remove and re-install the elbow protections is not so easy as in the pants.

To insert/remove them, you have to turn inside out the sleeve, to release the hard rubber external part and then you have to detach the two Velcros that fix the elbow protection to the sleeve.

Now you can remove the elbow protection from its place.

 Infine, sulla manica sinistra, tra la gomitiera e la manica, troviamo un utile porta penne a tre posti.

 In the end, on the left sleeve, between elbow and cuff, you can find three pens/pencils retentions.

 Conclusioni

La mimetica si presente con un aspetto molto aggressivo ed accattivante.
Il tessuto, in trama Rip-Stop, è molto spesso e a volte i pantaloni risultano quasi fastidiosi durante soste protratte sotto al sole.
D'altra parte però, abbiamo riscontrato un'eccellente velocità di asciugatura per cui, durante le nostre prove, non abbiamo mai accusato la fastidiosa sensazione di tessuto bagnato adeso al corpo.
Lo spesso tessuto inoltre, garantisce un'ottima barriera di protezione contro spine e rovi che, nella maggior parte delle volte, vengono fermati efficacemente.

Non abbiamo trovato un indirizzo effettivo alle tasche poste sotto le ginocchiere, visto anche l'elevato numero di altre tasche utility e cargo presenti sui pantaloni.
Abbiamo ipotizzato un utilizzo quale porta-caricatore che potrebbe essere utilizzato per una ricarica veloce da accucciati ma, a onor del vero, non reputiamo questa una cosa indispensabile o vantaggiosa, visto che tutti i giocatori sono ormai provvisti di tactical vest.

Punto di forza di questa mimetica sono le ginocchiere e gomitiere integrate, le quali si sono dimostrate sempre efficaci e stabili in ogni situazione.
L'alta efficacia delle ginocchiere reputiamo sia dovuta alla grossa superficie d'appoggio interno ma soprattutto alla cinghia di regolazione posteriore che non permette alla ginocchiera di ruotare o spostarsi dalla propria sede, complice magari la grossa misura dei pantaloni come è accaduto in queste prove, avendo testato una mimetica di una taglia netta superiore a quella necessaria.
Le cinghie devono essere regolate con cura infatti, se strette eccessivamente, durante la salita di gradini o durante lunghi passi in salita possono provocare dei fastidiosi attriti in una zona delicata come il cavo del ginocchio.
Unico punto buio di queste ginocchiere/gomitiere risiede forse il fatto che la parte esterna in gomma dura risulta cucita sulla parte posteriore "morbida" e, dopo un prolungato e intensivo stress, i filamenti potrebbero danneggiarsi.
Nell'eventualità che ciò accadesse, sono però disponibili le gomitiere e ginocchiere di ricambio.

Le rifiniture dei pantaloni sono molto curate, molto meno quelle interne delle tasche dove non sono stati nascosti i bordi del tessuto tagliato, cosa che invece avviene nel resto dei pantaloni.

Pregievoli sono gli inserti in Cordura 1000 denari posti all'interno del bordo inferiore dei pantaloni e sulla parte posteriore del cavallo.

La Bungee-Cord utilizzata per regolare l'apertura superiore dei tasconi laterali risulta di diametro troppo piccolo e non in linea con le buone soluzioni tecniche adottate per questi pantaloni.

Le taglie della mimetica risultano molto generose, non nel senso di capienza, ma di possibilità di modularsi sul corpo del giocare, infatti, come già accennato varie volte, per le nostre prove abbiamo utilizzato una taglia netta superiore a quella necessaria senza alcun problema di impaccio o fastidio; solo le maniche della giacca risultano realmente lunghe.

Il torace della giacca è in materiale traspirante, tanto da non far sentire eccessivamente il “peso”, espresso in calore, di un Weesatch con finte piastre imbottite utilizzato nel mese di maggio con temperature piuttosto elevate.
Qualche dubbio ci è stato però segnalato riguardo la resistenza del tessuto elastico, il quale parrebbe rovinarsi dopo l'uso prolungato con tactical vest ma, obiettivamente, pur avendo effettuato le nostre prove nel modo più aggressivo possibile, non siamo riusciti a produrre alcun danno alla zona segnalata.
Forse solo un uso molto intensivo e realmente prolungato potranno dare un feedback reale alla The Warrior Spirit in merito a questa situazione.

Le cuciture sono tutte di buon livello con filo molto spesso.
Non ci è stato possibile, vista la brevità della prova, testare la mimetica sotto il profilo dei molteplici lavaggi; possiamo riportare che i primi lavaggi (2), effettuati seguendo le indicazioni presenti all'interno della mimetica stessa, non hanno prodotto alterazioni di sorta.

In definitiva si può parlare di questa come una mimetica “futuristica” e con soluzioni tecniche innovative.
I materiali sono di buon livello ma solo un uso intensivo e prolungato potranno fornire un reale risconto “operativo”.

 CONCLUSION

This combat uniform has a aggressive and captivating look.

The tissue is made with Rip-Stop texture and it's very thick and, for this reason, sometimes the pants can be a little annoying if you stay a lot under the sun.

But we have note that it dryes itself very quickly so, during our tests we have not any annoying feeling of wet tissue on the body.

The thick material is a good protection against thorns that are stopped in the most cases.

We didn't find a good use (or the real use) for the under-knee pockets because there are a big number of pockets on the pants yet.

We supposed they could be used as mag-pouches for a quick reload when you are crouched but also this hypothesis doesn't seem to be right thinking that almost all the airsoft players use a tactical vest.

The hot point of this combat uniform are the built-in knee and elbow pads, always stable and effective due the wide surface and the back straps you can adjust. This don't allow the knee-pads to move out from their right position.

The only bad point of the knee-pads is that they're sewn to the soft base and this seam could be damaged from an intesive use. In any case new knee and elbow pads are available.

The pants are well finished, not so well the pouches in the internal side.

Very useful are the Cordura 1000d reinforces on the back of the pants and on the internal side of the ankles.

The Bungee-cord used to close the cargo pouches has a poor quality, not in standard with the high quality level of the rest on the trousers. 

The sizes allow to wear this combat uniform by different body sizes due the big adjustability. Only the sleeves are very long.

The jacket chest is breathable so you don't feel the calor of a Weesatch with SAPI plate replica used in May. We have received some feedback about the easy damaging breathable material of the chest but during our hard tests we were not able to damage it. Maybe only a very long and hard use can give a true feedback about that.

The seams are well done with good spins.

Due the short use of this combat uniform we can't about the response of washing machine for a lot of times but after 2 washes it has not color changing at all.

This Combat Uniform is a futuristic and has innovative technological solutions.

It's well done with good material but only a long and hard use will be able to say something about the strenght.
